Yes apologies, it's locked until I like you said Paul, fully upgrade three bikes then I can buy the project 74, 10 million drops.

And then another 5 million to fully ugrade it

(I may be some time) ^_^

I've only 4 after I bought the 454 wheels and sl8...pace partners for a while for me!

Same, I'll be riding a lot with the pace partners - tbf though that's what I need too anyway. More steady longer rides to get some fitness back.
I'll upgrade the Allez that I have now, then probably get the new SL8 and upgrade that. After that maybe the Atheos so I can get some climbing in.

Nice to have a challenge and a target again.

I've been wondering what to do with my 54,000,000 drops for a while.......
Never saw the need to buy any old bike after getting the Tron and then buying a TT bike and appropriate wheels.

Do you race, @Dorset Boy? The enthusiasm waxes and wanes a bit on here, but from time to time we’ve put together CycleChat teams in ZRL. Presumably you’re a refugee from BikeRadar? Welcome!

The drops balance isn't really an issue. But the distance/elevation to ride them will take a while, true.

I wonder if FRR are doing another charity Ventoux this year. Would be a good event to upgrade a climber.

So I did some tests yesterday and at 200W, 66kg and 166cm, the new SL8 level 1 with Enve 7.8 is 7s faster than level 0 on a whole lap of Tempus Fugit (used an event to avoid draft and get a whole lap time). I think the next upgrade is weight so that probably won't make much difference on the flat. But there is another aero upgrade later on I think.

A lap takes about 31 minutes at these parameters. Zwift Insider does two laps on his tests for his "per hour" time savings, but his weight, height and power differ significantly from mine (which is why I like to do my own).

Another thing which is interesting is that some of my test data has different outcomes to Eric ZI.

He tests at 183cm 75kg rider doing 300W.
I test at 166cm 66kg rider doing 200W which is more realistic for me.

For me, the Enve 8.9 is slightly faster on the SL8 than the Zipp 858/s9 disc (about 2s per hour)

For Eric, the disc is about 12s an hour faster.
