In the video it does suggest that intervals.icu and Veloviewer type apps could be impacted as Strava data going to there will be restricted (no aggregation for example. So if you could push data directly to the other apps whilst missing out the step to Strava that would be a solution.

I don't pay for Strava as it's purely a data storage place for me. I wouldn't be surprised if they target us free-loaders next, trying to force us to pay. If that becomes the case I'll look for an alternative. I don't use any of the other Strava features so I don't plan to upgrade (I did once pay, but didn't get any value so stopped my subs)

I like live segments which is one of the premium features I pay for. If I could wean myself off the pissing contest of segments I could ditch the paid subs. The issue on intervals was with coaches seeing your data. e.g. @Norry1 and I can see each other's data on intervals. It seemed that Strava wanted to stop that. But from the above link it looks like they are backtracking on that one.

I stopped subscription to Strava over their varied pricing from one country to the next. Also I wasn't getting the benefits of segments after Zwift deleted (over bloated) many of their own segments for longer ones. I've requested my data so I can look more at Garmin as a possible location for future recording

Intervals will have Zwift integration by 1st December, apparently

That reads to me more as clarification than backtracking. I watched DC Rainmaker's video yesterday and he seemed to have not taken notice of at least one key word: 'training'. The clarification makes it more apparent that the primary activity they're seeking to prohibit is using data to train generative models, etc. That's quite different from prohibiting the use of generative models on data. To me, that's a good balance.

The 'no aggregation' terms are still there with no apparent backtracking, which does seem a somewhat retrograde and undesirable choice, quite possibly for the majority of people who wouldn't care and might like the results of such aggregation :-\

As usual, Strava's PR, in the form of presentation and explanation of what it's doing, could be considerably better than it is !

I will be replumbing the way I connect my Zwift activities to intervals as soon as their integration is complete. (which is also talked about in that thread).

Alex ,not wishing to make more work for the organisers but 😁, is it possible to do an overall GC including everyone especially anyone like me who's raced 2 in 2 cats

@13 rider I have found a way to do this on the ZP GC so we will do it this way instead of by category. Everyone gets dumped in E, but hopefully it won't affect anything outside of the GC Time League.
