Random question, anyone set their young kids on a turbo or turboish thing?

little tikes 657917 Pelican Explore and Fit Cycle with Bluetooth, Free Videos, Ages 3-7, Multi-Color https://amzn.eu/d/fYBg8Y0

Also seen that some people just use a smallish actual turbo https://zwiftinsider.com/kids-bike-setup/
What wheel diameter? Have a look at Elite Qubo Fluid - I had success with that - usually plenty of them on the 2nd hand market and I think you should be able to get pretty much anything working with it. Just needs QR skewers to stay in place.

Yes it is, done rotating shift work almost 37-years with different variation and it never come easier.

its better than we had , until a few years ago we did days and nights 7 am till around 4.30 or 8 till around 6 am ish all dependant on overtime call .Those hours sucked , we lost about 0.75% shift allowance overall changing to our new pattern .

Previously when we did 8hr shift we start shift 5:30 am, 1:30 pm and 9:30 pm I was pretty tired after morning shift because I like to sleep "late", I'm not a early bird. Now that we start morning shift 7 am I hope that extra 1hr sleep will give me more energy and make my 12hr shift easier.

16 inch? Pretty small
I used the Elite with 20 inch wheels without any issues. It seemed like it could go lower but I haven't tested it with anything smaller.

I can imagine that. It was a long time ago but i remember once when i was working at overtime after a nightshift that was a horrible experience, i felt like a zombie or something. I could fell a sleep while i was walking or just stand up. Never done that anymore after that.

Shift work takes a toll for sure. It's been easy to noticed that my energy level is low quite a long time after a work, even then when I have a summer vacation it might take several weeks that my body start to adapt to normal life rhythm, I would say only just and then start work again. It's not surprise me that I'm much slower now with my bike than 20-years ago. But I try to fight against that.

Some people are better than others at shift work but it is pretty bad for you in the long run. Haven't worked a proper night shift in a long time but the drive home could often be dicey, if you've been awake for 20 hours and worked a busy shift your cognitive impairment was similar to being fairly drunk

Shift work been shown to shorten life expectancy by up to 10 years , so when the government expects us to work in my case till 67 or even longer for younger people old hands like me wonder how the expect us to continue ? not so bad if you have an office job but I can only manage the job now let alone for another 11 years .
Last night was the 1st time since we finished work over a week ago i have managed to get a full nights sleep in as i was waking up around 4 am no matter what time i went to bed as my early shift alarm is 3.45 am

Anyway back to topic
61 km left for the rapha challenge , i want to get it done and dusted but as above i woke up "late" aka 6.45 am and working around family cant get an hour in till around 10.30 , if i can push on i will try to get it in one session but the legs are tight atm
