17 riders got a podium bronze, maybe a silver, W/Kg too much for C category ^_^

Pack whittled down over the laps until there was 5 of us left. With 3 miles to go i lost the internet so was all alone, I put the hammer down in the hope I good get a half decent result on time alone. With 2 miles to go my group re appeared just behind me, so it was a blast up the last climb and wait for the sprint down the home straight. Two of the riders applied boost features which gave them 20 yards on me, I was gaining on them but just ran out of road before the line came, Pleased with a podium though.

Well done Andy! Class B now eh?
I am always warey of boosts etc. I was on a lone 12sec sprint on the mall today so without benefit of a race or chaingang to draft and nearly used aero boost to hit 11 or even 10 seconds.

just spent a rainy afternoon in the shed tinkering with turbo bike and the trainer getting them both ready instead of the rollers
(zwift has a hissy fit if you use rollers - even with power meter !) so now i think i am ready to dip my toe into zwift again
i did turn it on for a while today and saw breedon on line but resisted the temptation - maybe another day
i have decided that i am going to have a big fleabay sale to see if i can muster the funds for a neo without touching other funds
found out bkool has expired so it will have to be zwift for a bit - lets see what happens next rainy day

Don't really want to do a race in zwift yet as i am on the bkool pro while it seems like more are on the neo or similar
if i race on the pro i think i would have an unfair advantage what means one of 2 things -- if i beat anybody , its because unfair advantage
if i get beat , its because i am sh1t and cant even win cheating !
if i get a neo then at least i am on the same playing field and can only blame legs
but the best thing would be - i cycle in the shed in the dark and i think the led lights would look cool :becool:
put a bike up on fleabay with a hopeful bin price ( its been a good one but never use it and expensive ornament )
gonna rummage through shed today and be brutal
so hopefully this time next month i should be ready for autumn
as for powermeter - although it gives you a better idea , when i use that i am on the rollers and try as i might , staying stable on them while trying to put a bit of speed on is frightening even though i have put rails around me for when i have a lapse of concentration

Berrty there are some new turbo options coming out including one from Elite at around the £600 mark that seem to offer power meter accuracy of 1% so it doesn't have to be the NEO. Mind you when I am sprinting I often look down at floor to see the lights change colour as the power increases ^_^
Re the pro- could hit 1470w on it but struggle to hit 899 on the neo.

1470 !!
never ever hit anything like that i am sure
personally i don,t think that bkool units all give the same readings either - and i am not that sure they give the same readings in themselves
i know sometimes mine gives me an easier ride than others
not being a techy i can only guess but the distance the magnet has to travel to make life harder is so minute i don't think they are up to it
i loved it when we were all racing and we all had a nemesis we used to come close to and it would be fantastic to get them days again just dont think it will happen on bkool units

Lee, you'll know Bkool watts are rather flattering, a decent proper trainer will be rather eye opening in the power you develop. Looking at your outside ride data, you will fly up the hillier events and will easily thrash us all. I reckon you're an easy B cat rider for hill races. :okay:
