Andy, wheels. I have been wasting too much time pootling around the net and Ebay trying to find the best reviewed deal on a 50/50mm set of wheels. As much as i like the Yoelo's and the good reviews a 1500g set comes in at near £900 before tax. Ican and far sports are cheaper but not so well reviewed. I keep coming back to Zuus. £500 is as cheap as it gets with the warranty, crash replacement policy etc. Where buyers have had issues these seem to have been quick to resolve. I could even get the 38's and save 100g's and have a more all purpose wheelset. Cosmetically the rims have a brake track but, all other things being equal, i am not sure spending another £300 to have a smooth rim is worth it.. That said you liked your Yoelo's and i think you set them up tubeless without tape. Are you buying the same again to replace your busted wheel. Do you reckon another carbon wheel would have suffered the same fate?
Anyone else with experience of far eastern Carbon wheels please feel free to chime in.
Buying the wheels will stop me spending £2k plus on a new bike

Zuus have a 10% off offer at the moment. You can get the Zuus 50mm aeros for £450 (https://www.zuus.co.uk/zuus-aero-carbon-wide-50mm). I was contemplating getting some deep rim wheels as I was thinking of trying a bit of TTing next year (plus may be good for ToC)

Bob, the Yoeleo were nice to look at and the ride was fine, they came with 28 spoke- so strong.Pro version have no holes in rim and DT Swiss hubs etc.. The downside with Yoeleo was delivery-took 3 months. That could of improved recently, I just dont know.

The Zuus wheels look like the cheap ebay versions, but with extra options and arent much more with, on the face of it, a decent warranty.

If you're going aero deeper the better over weight.

Regarding damage, I think they are a little more fragile than alloy rims, but Ive had a bad run on wheels and tyres recently.

All in all i would probably buy from British located store in future.

I didnt record anything this time Boxer s. Reason, when I reviewed my Gran Canaria ride, I felt like puking with the camera weave mounted on handlebars. The video you see today was chest mounted and then image stabilization twice.
 There's a reason most of the video supplied by the various companies tends to be shot from cars or motorbikes (my personal preference). As good as most people are that shoot video, when you add in the cyclists effort, the stability goes down particularly when going up hill.

Thank you though for your efforts in trying to bring these rides to us

I've got a set of Chinese carbon wheels from Lightbicyle https://www.lightbicycle.com, response to emails was very quick within a hour sometimes, ordered and delivered and received with out problems.

The only downside is the rear hub that i chose which from time to time i need to tighten up, also the front wheel at the nipple was cracking the carbon with changes to temperature, sent email with photos and a new rim but not a whole wheel was sent the next day.

I would buy from them again but they would be much more expensive than if i went and got them from zuus which I'm seriously looking at probably 50 or 60 mm deep for my rim braked bike.

Dean, I looked at them. It sounds like a frustrating experience even when they tried to help. In some respects I can build up a better wheel with them but, like you say, at a greater cost.

If the Hunt 50 mm wheels were ~£750. I think would be a good choice .

Yep, I agree.
Though they did come next to last in Hambini’s aero tests. It’s one of the reasons why I started looking elsewhere. That and the fact a spoke failed on my 4 seasons on a Pyrenees descent. They have sent me a replacement spoke but LBS ( if they can be trusted) say I should expect more.

Have you the link to test data. I suspect the difference between the worst and best aero wheels of the same depth is only a few percent. Its the depth of rim which allows the air to smooth out and flow over the rim to reduce turbulence.

Got an email from Bkool saying that the smart air trainer is ready for pre-order.
I can pay a deposit for €100 and when I pay another €1099 I can have it 3 weeks later
Are they serious.

I am a big fan of my Far Sports 50mm carbon tubeless rims. Built around DT Swiss DT350 hubs and Sapim CX-Ray spokes. After about a year the rear is slightly out of true, but nothing serious, I will get it tweaked over the winter. Cost was under £500, including pre-paid shipping and taxes. I am thinking of getting a set for my winter bike, this time for disc brakes.

I think they are ... How are they measuring power using IR technology?? I can only assume that they are not, and they are actually measuring speed, and using teh weight of the rider to calculate power ... Again ... Have they learned nothing ... At that price, I'll stay with either the Neo, KickR, Hammer etc
