Purple Unicorn session for me tonight - this is the hardest of the unicorn sessions I believe  1hr 45 mins of pain. This is gonna hurt, but, as they say, no pain no gain  And I'm certainly making gains as the Tuesday race proved. Onwards and upwards
Good luck. Let us know how it goes.

I did the pedalling drills this morning and I'm planning to do Devedeset tonight.

Hare & Hounds race for me tonight. Don't know what a purple unicorn is @Whorty but good luck with it anyway!

By the way, is there any way of seeing where friends are on the zwift companion app map (or anything else) when in a race? When the app shows riders as blobs on the companion app map for example, are people you're friends with in a different colour or anything? I'd just like to have some way of knowing if anyone I'm friends with is in a race and/or where they are in relation to me during the race. Cheers

I’m currently into week two with the build me up workout program.
It’s worthwhile but I’m finding it difficult to fit at least 4-5 hours a week of training in with my other commitments.
The trouble is it only opens a workout for a period of time and it appears to be that if you miss it then tough it’s gone for good and you move on.
Has anyone done a workout program that maybe allows for more flexibility??
I too am feeling the benefits but really struggled on the halflvems workout last night and couldn’t complete it but maybe that was me having a bad day!

If I can't make a session in time (either because I'm racing that night, doing a recovery ride or just not riding) I just click it as complete anyway so that I can move on. I'm not bothered about completing 100% of rides, just doing what I can and what I feel able to in the time. For me the plan is an incentive to push myself harder than I would maybe otherwise, but I don't sweat it if I miss a session.

As for not being able to complete a session - if I'm struggling I just get ready to have a minutes pause mid session to spin the legs out before continuing. Also, I'm not too proud to lower the session % effort if required. Thirdly, if I'm struggling with most sessions then just lower your FTP a bit in Zwift to something more sensible for the workouts.

I'm facing the same thing I got up early to do the next one and it had expired last night. I already started over once. I may start over once more and force myself to stick to getting up earlier. They really push me and I know it helps.

Don't sweat it, just carry on. The idea (at least for me), isn't to do every session, but to improve as I go through the 12 weeks. If you miss a session, do something else instead :okay:

If left on my own the easy rides are there. I did the laziest possible this morning. Velodrome and Bkool downhill. I did try to spin as fast as I could. But sure no unicorn.

I decided not to restart having missed the yellow unicorn ... so I'm into what is supposedly one of the recovery weeks, with pedaling drills (which was a blast as my first ride with oval rings ) ... sneaky tonight, and Purple Unicorn Tomorrow. Plus I really want to be hitting 30 odd miles a day on average to the end of the year (750miles left to hit my 'target' miles for the year), which I can't see me doing, so I have to hit a couple of 100+Km rides, (possibly even centuries) at the weekends :surrender::sweat::sweat::sweat::heat::heat::heat:

I rode 64km on the purple unicorn tonight, so all you need to do to hit your target is ride the purple unicorn every day
