Nah, you'll be quicker that 1hr 20 mins. I can do it in low 70's, so you'll be in the 60's range easily.

"Sorry", I was wrong:

I passed you with I think about 1.5km to go but I was in the process of cramping really badly in my left calf! So we yo-yo'd a couple of times with you passing me when I had to stop due to the cramp. I was ahead of you until a couple of hundred metres to go and then I cramped again and literally had to get to the line pedalling with one leg! Not ideal, but the first half was fun! Well done @peterob - who else was there?
I was there!

Quite happy with my ride as I've had sinus trouble and a sore throat for over a week now, which is just starting to clear. I rode the Alpe in around 1.08, which was 6.5 minutes better than my previous best. Was actually pretty comfortable until about the last 2 bends when I started to feel a bit tired.

Came 132nd out of 214 C riders in Zwiftpower.

Looks like @bridgy and @peterob and @Brusgaard had good rides!

Peter, Emma weighs 46 kilos!

Paul,
I though I saw you but they were cutting between riders too fast and then concentrating on the front runners where the winner did the Alpe in 33-11

Oh, and, Electrolytes man!

There’s a lot of anger and anguish about sandbaggers over at Zwift riders/racers.

Cracking ride Brusgaard:thumbsup:

Thanks. Kept a steady avg. watts/pulse up the mountain without pushing too hard as not to crack/cramp. Did put in a bit more towards the very end to gain a few places. My hope beforehand was to finish within the top 200 in the B-cat, and had I caught just one more rider, I would have succeeded.

I was drinking plenty of electrolytes. This cramp thing is SOOO frustrating - the mind and most of the body is willing and feeling good, and then the cramp - usually in my calf hits. I would understand it more if I was feeling like my legs were completely knackered when it struck, but that's rarely the case, and wasn't yesterday. I wish I could get to the bottom of it and find a way to solve it.

I guess it's just a matter of me pushing harder than my legs are capable of, but I'm not getting any warning signals from my legs that this is the case so it's hard to measure my effort to avoid it

I'm tending to get cramp hits in my calves when I'm trying to put higher end watts, for me, at higher cadences, >100, after being on the bike for an hour or more. I'll be fully hydrated, or so I think, then the guy with the big fug orf neddle arrives and sticks it in my, usually, left calf and then almost seconds later does the right :B):banghead::cursing:. I just have to up the gear and lower the cadence until it clears. I can still push the watts just not the cadence.

I use electrolite tabs as well as plain water during rides.

Anyone try pickle juice? I've read it is supposed to stop leg cramps.
