Keeping a diary isn’t a bad idea to be honest. More of an art fan myself though

Not sure what the ettiquette is to joining the cycle chat 'team' on zwift power but I've done it... no plans to race at the moment as I'm startlingly bang average so just for fun! Apologies for not stating my intentions first if that, indeed, is the ettiquette

Not sure I would worry about intentions here. In fact not sure I would trust the intentions of anyone here!

Here is a link to a YouTube video posted of the ToNY Stage 2 last night that we did. The guy who posted it finished 2 seconds ahead of me and @Monte so we should recognise chunks of it. I've only watched a couple of minutes - so not sure how much any of us feature on it.

Noticed you for the first time about 19 mins in. @Monte is there about 21 mins in. You're both then in mostly until the last km or so.

This guy isn't pushing that many watts early on - clearly a good tactic to stay in the draft - I push big watts out the pen, but maybe when it's such a huge field you can hold a bit back early on and not go in the red?

Even when hitting 3 w/kg his watts are quite low (220 ish). He must be featherlight (just checked on ZP and he's 70 kg). The benefit of staying off the pies!! :mrpig:

Bang average is fine ... you'll not be on your own :okay: Most of us add "CycleChat" to our name too in Zwift, that way we can look out for each other in races. Always nice to see a friendly face and grab a wheel to ride behind :hugs:

Will be sorting out my Zwift power CC joining once i find my user id.

I assume New York will expand soon. Can see quite a few road blocks out of the park. Bored of it now. Ok during an event but the high cycleway is only 6 or so miles long and I managed to cover the whole central park in 10 miles at least once.

Best theory so far for my DVT/PEs is failure to properly cool down after racing on the turbo and heading back to work too quickly (ie, sitting). Blood pools in the legs and boom. No real way to test that though. There's a couple other things we're still chasing down, but that's the most plausible explanation right now.

So folks, make sure you're cooling down properly. Seriously. I'm still waiting for the OK to start riding again...
