Oh well, looks like the new reality now I'm on Neo power!

To be fair to Lee though we were often very close in Zwift races and I'm sure he's beaten me before? I wish I'd known he was only 10 seconds ahead of me though :ninja:
How did you find that then Paul ? Could you tell much difference - if you want a shock - try bkool on it !
Did you have real road turned on ? I don’t bother
And is it set to 100% ?
Bloody cracking first go
Can’t see this result happening too often but permission to gloat this time

It was good - very quiet compared to the bkool is the most noticeable difference!

In terms of power it didn't feel massively different but I did notice the power drops off much quicker if you back off even slightly - this does make it a bit easier to control your speed to stay in the draft though - less yo-yoing forward and back.

I also found it harder to stand and sprint or climb well - which surprised me. Might just take a bit of getting used to It seems to work better spinning rather than grinding - something I will also need to adapt a bit to.

What's real road and how do I turn it on or off?!

I didn't change the setting on Zwift so I assume it's as it was which was set to about 60% I think - that was just enough to save me having to change to the small front ring even on steep climbs.

You can definitely enjoy a gloat - I 'll be keeping my eye out for you from now on.... :okay:

I'm surprised you found it more difficult to stand or sprint this is another bonus of the Neo no wheel slip but i think you'll get used to it.

Yeah that's why it surprised me too! I think it was a gearing thing, and me being a bit cautious not to break it on its first outing! There's a bit of side to side flex on the Neo which the bkool didn't have which I found a bit odd at first too

Paul, I reckon you will get a bit stronger as you learn how to ride the NEO best. That may sound strange but given any easing on the pedals sees an immediate drop in power the best way to get the most out of the neo is to improve your pedalling technique. Given you are already a strong rider in the real world that should not be too difficult.
Cracking first effort.

Nearly half way through my first training plan now. I just compared this evening's session with the first session I did at the start of the plan. Both foundation sessions, the first I averaged 131W with an average heart rate of 153bpm. Today I averaged 151W at an average heart rate of 133bpm. That's a pretty clear improvement, I'm quite surprised It's that big! I haven't felt any of the sessions have really taxed me, although I have been tired by the end of most of them... I guess whomever created them knew what they were doing

the real road effect makes it vibrate when you go over bumps , i can't help thinking keep things smooth and they last longer - cant remember where the setting is but cant be hard to find as i found it !- once !
i think you will soon get used to the standing up , and also think you will only get faster each time - so normal service will be resumed very quickly - but dont worry - its already gone down in the diary so written in history now :okay:

just noticed the quality is rubbish if you watch this via Cyclechat. Best to go into youtube and search on Jorge Caldeira zwift and you'll see his vids. He did 2 Stage 2 rides and vids for some reason - so pick the shorter one.

He looked to be taking it easy for most of the ride. He should try going hard from tbe start, he would place much better

It’s pretty tough waiting for my turbo to turn up. Seeing you guys racing has got me chomping at the bit! No idea really where I’ll fit in on the pecking order so to speak but it seems there’s a nice spread of people to race with / take the piss out of! I like the look of the race that wasn’t a race last night so to speak. Just because everyone is racing in the same category effectively.

You really keep a diary?
