Sometimes you’ve got to be cruel to be kind Andy. Next time he might try harder and he’ll thank me for it .

I think you’d need to actually finish a ride without bailing before you could justify buying a power meter bud ^_^

In other news!

Anyone fancy bunking off work one day next week? Me and ‘the chirpy one’ are planning a cheeky school day ride. We’re thinking about heading west. If it sounds vague it’s because it is quite vague ^_^

Anyone fancy it?!

What day and how far west?

It’s all up in the air really kip. We both have to be able to get there and back in one day so either a loop or I route that starts and finishes near train stations. I think we can both do any day too so if you’re interested and have a day that suits best we can go with that.

How far west, and what day? I work Tuesday and Wednesday, so may be able to make something Thursday or at a push Friday. But if you're planning big climbs, or very fast, then you may not want to invite me :sad:

What cadence are you able to sustain with a lowish HR Lars?

I've got much lower gearing, so can if needs be drop back into zone 2 and still sustain a decent cadence. That is what I'm looking to do as Gran Canarie and Tenerife the following month are part of my base training program

Back is on charge and will be dismantled tomorrow for packing .
About 75 the steepest sections. I prefer +90.

We can pick a day to suit really bud. I’d say it’ll prob be quickish. Too cold to hang around this time of year! We’d have to pick a route to say how much climbing there’ll be. Open to suggestions with the route. I’d like to put a few miles in and I guess Berty would be the same.

Checked my setup earlier (yeah, I'm so dumb i don't actually know what the gearing is on the bike  ) . Kickr has a 11-28 9 speed cassette and the bike wheel has a 11-32 9 speed cassette. The front is 50/34. So at 100% last night it was much harder than it would be on the bike out IRL. I can probably knock the realism down then to say 85% on the trainer to simulate real life riding.
