Yes please mate. I just want to know if you can put out 200 - 250w without spinning like crazy. So if you could note what gear you’re in versus cadence and watts on Zwift that would be really handy. Also the diameter of your rollers if you know it.

I can set it up in my hallway which is narrow enough for me to head slap a wall on the way down if needed.
Will do tomorrow mate
Last time I was on them I thought I was safe till I missed the bench with my hand - luckily my head slowed my descent on the bench before I hit the floor ! Will note make of rollersbut can’t see how that makes much difference - also diameter

Cheers bud. The diameter of the roller effects the resistance. The make will allow me to stay away from the ones you’ve got. They sound like a death trap!

to be honest i think all rollers are an art that needs mastering - like to see Adam try doing his crucified impression on them !! - i am glued to the hoods sitting at all times - and can only dream of taking a sip of drink

Thanks for the company on the Alpe tonight @Breedon

Had a bit of a Kickr failure though which was annoying. After about 65 mins of climbing, with about 5 mins to go, the power starts fluctuating massively. What i think happened was, the kickr was over heating. It was then losing resistance so as i was pushing the pedals the fly was spinning faster and the watts were going crazy high. After a minute or so, i tried taking the realism down to 0% and this seemed to resolve the problem. Not ideal, but was at least a solution to allow me to finish the ride.

I've read of others who have had the same issue with their kickr. Never happened to me before, but then I've never climbed the Alpe before at 100% realism - this is the problem. The trainer mech overheats and loses it's ability to hold resistance. Never had this issue when ridding at 50% realism.

Be interesting if this is also an issue with newer kickrs.

Edit : I think I may have been getting the opposite for about 10-15 mins before this, as I couldn't get the power much over 200 watts. Even standing up at a cadence of 60 on 12% gradient I was still only hitting about 200 watts, but earlier in the ride I was easily hitting 250+ for the same effort. Once I set the realism to 0% i was back pushing 250 watts.
