The work around that Zwift support had me try doesn't work ,still disconnects as soon as I ride ,will phone wahoo support this afternoon when they open
I have a v1 kickr and never had any issues connecting or holding the connection. I always turn the kickr off after use. When I connect, i turn on the laptop first, open the app, turn on the HRM, wiggle my feet so the cadence sensor connects and why they are both connected I turn on the kickr. I do run the companion app on my android phone but I have nothing else running (not even a music website on the laptop). My laptop is Win10 (I used to have a Win7 and no issues with that either) and I connect via a cheap Ant+ dongle I bought off ebay.

I connect all via wifi (BT). I don't have any blue tooth things running anywhere in the home.

Not sure if any of this helps :okay:

Dean, bring shivers down my back, hearing you'd fallen from high. I still sometimes wake up of my 10ft drop :excl:

Get well soon and hope the injury not too severe:okay:

@Whorty
Thanks for the reply , I am using a 2018 ipad as I don't own a laptop , I tried starting as you do but the same thing happened, as soon as I go to ride the Bluetooth light just goes solid and the connection is lost ,I then have to turn the kickr core off and back on for it to connect again to Zwift and then it starts again, I have sent my logs to Zwift support so wait to see what happens,

I phoned the shop I bought it from and they advised to phone Wahoo which I will do when the support line opens to see if they can help

I have ordered a 30 pin adapter and wahoo ant+ key to see if that will sort it out

Cheers

Hey Zwifters,

A quick heads up that Strava will be making a subtle change to how your Zwift activities will appear in the Strava feed. From today you will notice a “Sponsored” tag in the top right of your screen shots.

So why the change? We’ve been working this way with Strava for a while, so we wanted to be clear with you about this partnership. Zwift pays a fee to Strava which enables Zwifters to upload photos from your activities, making your feed more interesting, personal and relevant for you and your followers. It also provides the opportunity for your followers, who aren’t Zwifters, the chance to click and learn more about Zwift.

We’ll continue to work with Strava to enhance your Zwift activities in your Strava feed and look forward to showing you more in the very near future.

I’m about to jump into a day of busy meetings, but myself and my team will be on hand to answer your messages below. Your feedback is very much appreciated.

Ride On!

Hey Zwifters,
...
Ride On!

Makes sense to me, I already figured there was some collaboration going on given the difference in appearance between Strava and Zwift activities.

Fine, then how about giving Strava users a Zwift discount if you are going to continue to use 'us' as free advertising!!!! :cursing::cursing::cursing:

You could argue it helps sustain strava’s model. I think only something like 20% of it’s users pay for subscription.

Or maybe you could argue that if you pay for premium it should be advert free...

Meh, I know what you’re saying. It does fall into a larger debate about internet information and advertising in general.

Hi Guys

Having purchased Andy's old Kickr at the weekend (and gotten rid of my BKool pro) I'm just getting myself all set up to start my Zwift trial later this week. One (for now) quick question....

I've created my account on Zwift Power. I've been told to set my team as CycleChat...how do I go about doing that?
