To be fair I don’t think I ever saw a bad review of a anything in a cycling magazine ^_^. Those boys don’t like to bite the hand that feeds them!

But yeah... it’s a ridiculous bike really mate. It probably sounds like a bit of marketing bollocks but it does seem to have a very different feel to the tarmac. The tarmac might be more sprightly. Like it goads you to go faster. But the c64 has something very reassuring about the feel of it. Dunno....
:cursing: Jealous, much! Nice to hear it's worked out so well.

Anyways... speaking of duds. I’m trying to flog the wattbike atom. It’s not lived up to my expectations unfortunately.
Edit:- ignore this I've just seen your earlier answer

. Is it because it does not work too well for Bkool/Zwift or just generally not what you hoped?

Tommy, I am not sure a fixed trainer position of any kind is good for knees. I would say that of course but i think a unit needs some inbuilt flexibility otherwise the rider is locked into a position that our bodies are just not really prepared for. Its alright for the serious amateurs and pros because they are invested in physio etc in a way most of us just cant be bothered/afford to pay.

Cheers TB. As you know nothing works as well as a pro in Bkool. On zwift it’s not dreadful it’s decent. Just not spot on. I can prob answer in more detail later but I’ve promised the dog a walk on Hempstead heath!

I know what you mean. Not just the position but also maybe pushing harder than you would on the road. I think there is an issue with the atom that may make it worse in the way the resistance changes.

That's a great shame Tommy any reasons why

Edit: I've read why still a shame you shouldn't lose too much money for it

Well... i know you were joking but is the pro in good working order? I’d do a straight swap for the Garmin 520 if you fancy it? I wouldn’t mind a pro so I could do the races with the others.

I’m not in a rush to replace it really. Or sell it for that matter. Because I’m outside now and will be until what? Late September or October maybe. But I could buy a neo as a stop gap. Really what I’ll wait for is whatever is going to supersede the atom.
I'm still debating with myself if I really need a Garmin/Bolt gadget or whether for the few outside rides I do I just stick with my Android phone and Strava (may pay for premium for a few months up to the DD). I have some vouchers for Amazon so likely to get myself a cadence sensor which I can link up to Strava (already have an HRM which links up).

Re the Pro, I'm going to hang on to this for those occasions when I want to race on an even basis on BSIM. I'm 99% on Zwift at the moment as pushing for the Tron bike and training for the DD, but when back in race mode I'll go back to BSIM until my subscription runs out (Feb?) then make a call where I spend y money each month. It's nice having 2 trainers, gives me options.

You should be able to pick up a 2nd hand Pro off ebay for about £100 or there-abouts, so worth a punt.

Seems wise mate. No harm is holding on to the pro as like you say it’s sell in value in minimal.

I would get a computer if I were you though mate. Even if you go for a cheaper model. Having info on the screen like distance travelled and speed help a lot when you’re pacing yourself.

True. But still shortages of the Atom in UK so perhaps post on the facebook users group and someone may bite before they get too used to the warm weather.

Did that last night. Couple of nibbles so far...I will probably stick it on ebay and the bike forums over the weekend. I think the wait time has come down to a couple of weeks. If I’d of sold it 6 weeks ago I’d if prob turned a profit the wait time was so long! But it’s got me through the winter so all good really.

Could you deliver it to Sitka?
