Put a towel over your handlebars and headset, wear cycling gloves and have 2 or 3 fans.

I was really surprised to hear so many people don't wear gloves for indoor. Having got used to them it feels wrong to me to be on a bike without them.

I used to wear gloves indoors but stopped a few years ago. Still wear them outsides, but that's more for safety in case I fall off, need to protect my hands!

Use a towel to cover handlebars and angle your fans from one side slightly. Blows your sweat to one side away from bottom bracket and handlebars

It takes significant talent to fall off indoors.
I have iffy hips. They are okay when I am cycling or walking, but ache if I try running, and complain bitterly if I swing my leg too high when mounting my bike or dismounting from it. My normal technique to protect those ageing hips is to lower the bike to one side to get on or off.

The bike is slightly higher than usual when on a turbo trainer and obviously can't be tilted over. I found that those extra few cm plus a bike held rigidly upright was enough to catch me out when dismounting; especially when very tired. I managed to catch my leg on the saddle once and fell over. Fortunately, I landed on the bed!

After that experience I put a concrete breeze block to the side of the bike and stand on that to get on or off.

I never wore mitts indoors, but with increasing efforts on Zwift the hoods were getting sweaty, so now mitts and a headband are a must.
I wear mitts anyway.

The headband/sweatband sounds like a good idea - I will order one now...

WTF!!! Amazon just glitched... I searched for 'sweatband' but the search result was for 'swearing cats colouring book'!!!

It makes sense, but I'd never even thought about doing that before. I always have a towel over one bar that I wipe my hands etc with as they get sweaty.
