It's a Fenix 6 pro, but I don't use it to record my rides, I upload them from my Edge 230 if outdoors or straight from Zwift indoors.

I don't use my watch to record rides. I have Zwift send my rides to Garmin directly. The Garmin then does it thing applying this to my body battery stats, working out my fitness/readiness to train.

If I'm doing zone 2 for a couple of days it thinks I'm getting less fit just because I'm not smashing it. Then says UNPRODUCTIVE, which isn't very encouraging
I have the same, but at the same time Strava says my fitness is increased !

Ah well "Fitness" is based on your training load. I think Training Status is based on how the Firstbeat algo thinks you are handling your training load (incorporates HRV and VO2max trends). It sometimes gets it right - notably one occasion in September where I did extremely well in a race I was expecting to get killed in. That morning it said I was "Peaking".
But normally it's "fairly crap"TM I suppose if you say something every day, sometimes what you say will be correct

Signed up for tonight. Feeling quite fatigued, and today was leg day at the gym so I'm pretty shot. But thought I'd give it a little run up. Just need to try to hang on to wheels before the climb, then head down and see what happens xx(:surrender:

I may be calling you some rather rude names later

Doesn't bode well for me when you're struggling towards the end to push above 2.8 w/kg .... I have a feeling I may be pushing 2.2 and screaming in pain!

I have one plan tonight, and that's try to keep @steverob in my sights - we have similar w/kg so as long as I can hang on to the group to the foot of the climb then I have a chance.

I don't really understand it. I was planning to try and do a steady 255 and ended up with 211 for the climb. I just didn't have it today at all for the steady effort. Or, I simply lacked motivation once I was alone. Not sure, really. I managed 249 for 20 last month up Epic while I was fighting Stephen, but this time I thought I'd go for the steady state effort. Didn't bloody work at all. I did 3.14 for 20. I've done 3.2 for an hour up the Alpe in the past.

Well you'll be glad to know I'm tweaking the routes for next month to be "significantly less climby" :wahhey:

You're forgetting that I have an extra 17kg I have to haul up the climb compared to you!

When we did this ride in April as part of the Splitters Tour, you rode away from me on the Petit KOM part getting over half a minute lead. I closed up a little bit on the Ventoux part, but nowhere near enough to catch - I lost by about 20 seconds in the end. However this time there's an extra 1/2 km added to the end of that course and it's a super steep bit, so who knows?

Alex even as a lightweight who likes a climb I had thought you had made the climby races a bit too climby for the majority of riders so a tweak is certainly not a bad thing .

I'm always going to support less big climbs

Much prefer rolling courses to hilly - they're my most intense races as I have to push very hard for the little climbs and go totally in the red to hang on. But with a purely hilly course I just tempo so I don't get as intense a race (does that make sense?).

Of course, flat is always my preference, especially if I can hang on to the end and get a sprint in :training:

I think I was a smidge fitter then so likely be a lot closer this time. I just have to make sure I don't get dropped on the lead to the climb.

Hoping for some overnight zrs recalculations ,score jumped up by 23 tonight in coming 1st out of 3 ( both had higher zrs than me ) to 403 ,which I think will promote me again if Alex rejigs the boundaries

We had a guy in the pens who pretty much said pre race, get ready everyone to increase your score. He then rolled round. So he losing on purpose impacts everyone else.

Have I mentioned I think it’s a stupid system? 🤣🤣🤣
