used my free distance earlier and i can see me resubbing soon as currently i am only getting a non commute ride in every couple of weeks due to working every sunday whilst they want us .
I Have considered cheaper apps but i think they all need a smart trainer these days ? and as i only have a dumb trainer with speed and cadence sensor it rules them out .
I'm not sure about other apps, but Zwift may as well be the only option. It's really a matter of considering your long-term vs. short term cost.

Buying a cheap smart trainer would allow you to use a cheaper or even free app but would be a large one-off cost. Alternatively, you can use what you've got and pay for the app.

Maybe wait for some pre-Christmas deals and finance a smart trainer? That could be cheaper per month than a membership? Or find a used smart which would reduce the one-off cost?

Evans offer £0 today and then 3 months with £70. That is £70-£18 = £52 per month if skipping the Zwift sub. Don’t think you will find a better deal including warranty. Still need the cassette though.

Big opportunity to do well in Alex's Cyclopathon race tonight on the basis my ZRS is now 548 so I'm right at the top of the 450-550 category - therefore I'm really annoyed that I've woken up with a sore throat and headache and feel like I have a cold brewing :headshake:

I've signed up in the hope I feel better later...

After my poor attempt at my last workout. I decided I would give a good go at the weights. I now cant walk properly or feel my neck, chest from sore muscles :B)

Hope to get onto Alex's event this evening, if I can get off the settee
Rookie mistake, one muscle group at a time so you can avoid being completely out of action

I screwed it up this morning chasing the guy who broke away at the end of lap 4. I almost caught him, but not quite and I'd burnt all my matches doing that, so got beaten at the end. It was nearly a good play though
