As long as I breathe, I attack.
Why not use the money on a smart trainer? A low end one such as the Pinnacle HC can be had for £210 at Evans. Add a Cheap cassette and you are ready to go.

Because I'm working 6 days a week to pay for toilet and feed the family,I can't afford it and even take my own cake to cafe stops

Zwift (or indeed any online cycling platform) on a dumb trainer is utterly, utterly meaningless. Couldn't you just turn the pedals without Zwift to get the training effect, in much the same way that we used to years ago (staring at a blank wall or watching TV)? You really can't even 'measure' the impact of a workout without a smart trainer, so why kid yourself?

Appreciate that it's a outlay to make, but once you have a smart trainer, many more avenues are opened up, some cheap/free (IndieVelo/TPV is expected to remain free until next spring, MyWhoosh if you're willing to overlook human rights abuses, I think you can even control and record workouts from a Garmin head unit without a software platform???)

If you read his initial post it's because he thought the others wouldn't support the dumb trainer setup he has, but Zwift will (I don't know whether that's the case or not)

I DID. That is why I asked, why he doesn't buy a smart trainer, so he isn't locked into the (only?) platform, that still support dumb trainers.

Zwift is in it for the money, so they will most likely support dumb trainers and potato devices as long as it generates revenue.

BKOOL, Rouvy, BikeTerra, TPV, Rolla, VirtuPro etc. are all cheaper and/or free to use... Some offer multi-user discount, so you can get it even cheaper if teaming up with friends or family.

Which is why I cancelled ages ago and just used the " free" milage the other day and asked for cheaper apps that support dumb trainers .please read my posts before making ill informed comments

Ok, replace "choose" with "intend", if you didn't understand it first time around.

I was testing MyWhoosh today and it didn't totally convincing me. Okay it's a free so I guess need to accept sort of primitiveness.

I find it quite a bit more advanced than for instance BKOOL, especially given it is only 4 years and BKOOL is what 12 years or more?

Drafting is always part of the discussion, and somewhat different than other platforms. I don't think two platforms are the same, so it all requires a bit of practice to perfect it, when changing to another platform. And with the platforms themselves changing it regularly it gets even worse.

I did two free rides with MyWhoosh today. First ride MyWhoosh crashed after 7min rides and second ride i select 24,2km ride but avatar didn’t navigate automatically that 24,2km route so my full lap was only a 16,7km. I was expecting that avatar navigate automatiacally in a selected route just like in Zwift.

If you choose a route in free ride mode, I am pretty sure it just loops the same route, unless you deviate manually at some point?
If you join a 24/7 MyBunch ride, you cannot deviate, even if it shows the option to do so. I would like the option of leaving the MyBunch route without quitting to the menu and select another route, but not really THAT big of a nuisance. I rarely use them for other than for warmup anyway.
Of course MW lack other functions that Zwift or the others have and vice versa. There IS no platform that offers EVERYTHING you want - and probably never will be.

You are absolutely correct. Don't know what I was thinking when I was claimed that auto navigation didn't work. I was mixing those two rides what I did. Avatar was perfectly in a route, my bad.
