As an additional "Free Bonus" I created a time-based GC for this month's Cyclopathon results over the 5 races.
https://zwiftpower.com/league.php?id=2396 The nice thing about this is it combines both time zones.

The points GCs are still separate and based on the first 4 races.

Tomorrow I will have to finalise the routes and blurb for November and request the band changes (we're going up 50 for November)

@Alex , I presume I will be in the 0 to 350 Pen next month as my score is currently 338 ,Question what happens to the league if I go over 350 and get promoted ?

You'd end up with some results in two different Pens. There isn't really anything can be done about that. But it's only a 4 week series so resets soon anyway. I've really enjoyed being the "hammer" in October (apart from on Epic VoM). I was the "nail" in September and we're going back to those levels for November. If you're really close to the boundary it can make sense to bite the bullet and race up, but do whatever works best for you - it's meant to be fun after all.

Interesting in the combined League "time GC" table it looks like there's just one person who's done all the B races in October (me). Stephen Hynes was late and missed yesterday's start by about 1m.
Stephen Blommart did all 5 in the C pen.
Alain from Foudre did all 5 in the D pen
Jean-Francis Copy did all 5 in the E pen

So it does look as if some people are making it a 'normal' part of their routine. Hopefully that will grow a bit. Yesterday we had a really good number in Atlantic 500-600 (B) - more than the EMEA equivalent. We seem to get 2-3 random drop-ins per week from Japanese/Chinese riders.
Sometimes that makes it fun because they do crazy things. I was hoping they wouldn't go too nuts yesterday. One was 7s off the front at the start of the final climb (I got him - but only just held him off at the line).

Well if I don’t find a ZRL team to join in the next two weeks then I know what I’ll be doing on Tuesday nights in November. Yesterday was the first day I’d been able to WFH in almost two months but I should be back to my normal schedule at work now with any luck.

Though I would appreciate maybe @alex_cycles putting in an earlier custom finish on the La Reine stage, possibly before the climb starts getting steep!

I've been away on my jollies the last week so may have missed posts on this ... but seems Training Peaks has taken over IndieVelo. Isn't Training Peaks just a training app? Anyone have any more info they've seen? IV was ok free, not enough real human riders to warrant paying yet, so be interesting if there are suddenly an influx of real riders or if it's still mostly bots in the races.

The big players will consume the smaller platforms either absorbing some of their best features or closing them down

I’m not a / never been a training peaks user so can’t comment too much but afaik they had a very basic platform for indoor cycling - most users probably using Zwift/other with their ride data going across to TP. So indievelo gives their users a virtual world to distract them in their pain caves.
Reading social media etc it seems IV will remain free until next March. IV has had a paid subscription model costing $130/yr which provided iPad/ATV usage (free version was PC only). I;ve used it a few times and couple of races recently. Certainly way lower in terms of number of other humans but they have some nice features.

Or just before the climb starts
I've been LAST and LAST BUT ONE in the two mountain races so far - they are not my thing either 😭

Actually @steverob , you've given me an idea. What Pen are you in? I think I CAN do different distances for different pens.

@alex_cycles I'll almost certainly be in E for the upcoming series. Currently on a racing score of 321 (yesterday's race dropped me down 11 I think).

The hill starts to get really steep at the hairpin, which is at 13.4km; I only know cause this cause that's where I set the finish line for the Splitters race on this course back in April. Then it's another 1.1km from there to the end of the tunnel if you're after a different landmark for a slightly longer race.

Yes. My Strava would agree with that as spot-on. When the time comes to set up that race I will probably set the D and E pens to 13.4. The rest of us will do ~15km. It will be too short for the faster pens otherwise

Have you got the option to see and ride with other categories? I'm happy to try and hang with higher cats for as long as possible. Makes the early racing more involved
