I've always found that the only way to beat the guys with a massive sprint, is to go early and either hope they leave their sprint too late, or that they don't have a long sprint so they fade. It's my only tactic

Cheers Carl, Id be the same but I think he launched first so just sat hoping for podium (well out of saddle 100% effort) and he faded just at the end

Sorry Carl got all my timings wrong, was reading your post, then thinking I've got nearly an hour. Only to find I had 5 mins to get sorted- missed the start by 30secs arrgh

Did stage 4 bag the badge New York again. I was suffering all the way with no warm up at all. Was 8 th with just over a km to go, got swamped, had nothing to go with the push. I backed off and went for minor place sprint.

Had one of my best peak power sprint in an actual race 1123W

See if I held it to get a new 15s sprint when ZP updates

No probs. Zwift had a loss of connection that crashed my HRM, and no HRM for that race somehow put me into the pairing screen and that was my race over. Zwift wouldn't let me reconnect the HRM or rejoin the race so I ticked off another badge.
Slightly frustrating as I was hanging on nicely to the front group - working hard and definitely would have had no sprint left if I made it to the end, but at least I wasn't dropped.
Seems every time I try to race at the moment I get drop outs. Very frustrating, especially given my broadband is superfast 1gb.

Are you using Ant+ or just Bluetooth?

I use both ant+ for the turbo and HRM. Bluetooth for Play controller. I very rarely lose HRM- dying battery usual culprit

Bluetooth as on ATV. Lost connection that corrupted the HRM connection and I couldn't even reboot the HRM.
It's possible it's the HRM causing the problems - it's a Rythm, had it for years so maybe it's on its way out. I may need to invest in a new HRM

Bluetooth has newer firmware now, cant remember which it is but supposed to be more stable, better data throughput

Latest Bluetooth is V5.4. Get a HRM compatible with at least V5.3

I read that this ZRL Summer Showdown is only 4 riders per race - so in theory we do already have enough for a team of 4. Shall we go ahead and register the team? Hopefully if any of this initial 4 riders can't make a particular race we can find smeone willing to step in! (Up to 10 people allowed in the squad)

And with this in mind, what is your preferred timeslot guys? Options (that work for me!) are UK times: 6pm, 6.30pm, 7pm, 7.30pm or 7.45pm.

My preference would probably be 6.30pm but I can do any so will go with what works for those with more restrictions

If you are short, you can always add me to the squad. My availability is low, especially as I'm doing quite a few midweek IRL races soon - but on the off-chance.
