Definitely a fan of the legsnapper. Very distinctive visually and you get used to people slowing right down before it before launching an all out attack. Always impressed by people strong enough to attack during that lull before it who get a bit of distance between them and the pack

I've been looking at the course of the British Masters (BMCR) Road Race National Championships for this year - and it has what looks like the Selection point in a segment (Southwick Steep Section) which is very similar to the Legsnapper. It is 0.31 miles, 96 feet elevation, 5.8% average - compared to the Legsnapper at 0.27 miles, 99 feet, 6.9% average. The best times (of people in my Category) are about 56 seconds for Southwick - compared to 50 seconds for me up the Legsnapper - although I probably won't get a feather in the Real Life race

I reckon I'll be using the Legsnapper as a training aid as I get closer the the Championships (June 30th)

I can't remember my PB up Leg Snapper somewhere between 55-59secs. I'm hoping to hang onto a group over the first two attempts and see what happens third

I've found the trick, and it's not easy, is to start down the pack and kick on and launch into it as you come off the bridge and turn left.

Maximum 'sling shot' and speed going into the climb.

Then 60 seconds of pain, and keep pushing over the top to get up to speed for the decent.

Sounds so easy when written down 🤣🤣

Good luck tonight guys. Smash it!

Just looking back at the end of the race @Norry1 and you must have been painfully close to hanging on to the front over the last Legsnapper as it looks like you were right behind me as we crested it? It can be fine margins because I only just got back on myself
