:okay:

I think @mjd1988, @bobinski and @Aleman have experience of these - try searching this thread for coospo!

I found it reasonable but tend to have bad luck with lithium vatteries- it's hard to get good ones in northern Ireland from Amazon though. That's been true of Garmin and wahoo too so it's worked fine compared to those.

Ultimately I ended up with; LIVLOV V8 Rechargeable Heart Rate Monitor Chest Strap, 5.3 Khz ANT+ Bluetooth Chest Heart Rate Monitor, Waterproof HR Sensor for Polar Wahoo Peloton Zwift DDP Yoga https://amzn.eu/d/j018pTw

Not sure if maybe @bobinski had recommended it

Mine is a brand called XOSS which was £11 at the time (I think not in stock now) and it's been absolutely rock solid, no issues at all.

I can't vouch for that one but I'd give it a go if it's cheap based on my own experience - and as you say, how much the big brand ones now cost

@Norry1 I don't know if this works with what you have but I know Rich's Garmin HRM stopped working and he just replaced the strap with one of these and that worked fine https://amzn.eu/d/gw6gukN

Cheers Paul - the connectors corroded/dropped off after 4 months from new! So need more than just a strap I'm afraid.

Should be getting a free replacement but they are taking their time and I need one for racing on Tuesday.

Pleased to report that my NEO 2T worked fine just now when I tried a quick Zwift workout on it. Phew.

Now on a separate topic, my TICKR has broken and my wife's (which I borrowed) has also just stopped working - not a good few days.

TICKR's are now a bit of a silly price. Anyone tried the Coospo Chest Strap HR monitor? Amazon product ASIN B07D4J5VDKView: https://www.amazon.co.uk/CooSpo-Monitor-Bluetooth-Waterproof-Compatible/dp/B07D4J5VDK/ref=sr_1_11?crid=3FZV2066EIKGJ&keywords=wahoo%2Btickr&qid=1707493210&sprefix=wahoo%2Btickr%2Caps%2C143&sr=8-11&th=1

I have their arm based- 3y I think now and pretty much faultless.

The view from E:

What happened at the start? Why did the E pen take 2 minutes to catch when we were going so slowly?
I think I may make an adjustment so the neutral start only lasts for 60s. It felt like something went wrong with it today.

I've also been told I might be able to ask Zwift to set up the events so everyone is in the front two pens, so I'll investigate that too.
Next week's race is already set up though, so too late for that one.

Those hill climb events are like a gut punch aren't they. Need to warm up better because dying after a near 5 min all out efforts up the castle kom. Mind you an easy way to get a win as everyone else seemed to just race the course....

Sorry to miss the cyclopathy crit race! Seems to be going from strength to strength

We're getting there, gradually. About 15 so far in this month's League.

Good plan. Looks like @mjd1988 had a good experience with them and @Aleman had a bad one. Hmmm.

Ive gone back to a Garmin chest HRM following a spell using a Tickr. I had a Magene H64 but found it inaccurate at times - fine for zwift racing when all you need is a pulse registered but since Ive restarted training/workouts it wasn’t doing the business. Just had a look at that link Michael shared for the Livlov and spotted the advert for the Coospoo to the side - never inspiring confidence when they can’t even spell ‘heart’ correctly 🤔 😂

Joking aside, I am liking my Polar Verity Sense which I wear on my upper arm. Much comfier than a chest strap and seems accurate.

Polar is a good brand. They used to use those at the gym I went to for fitness assessments.
I prefer chest straps myself. There seems to be a huge variation in how people use and care for them though. And perhaps some people's sweat is more corrosive than others?

Anyway I'm still using my original Garmin chest strap from 2019 which gets used nearly every day and frequently washed (by hand). I did swap out the actual HR unit when I started Zwifting - from the ANT+ only model I used for on the road to the Dual which has ANT+ and Bluetooth (that also gives me a spare strap that I haven't needed to use yet). I think I've changed the battery once in that in 2.5 years. It gets a rinse and wipe dry after every use.

I had planned to do the Solihull CC Reliability ride tday but the weather forecast a couple of days ago was rubbish, so I decided to do a ride with some of the club guys yesterday instead.

Most of the riding was fairly steady but the hills were taken "at pace" and there were 4 significant climbs in the 70 miles. I set 46 PRs including all 4 hills - the first of which Larkstone (one of Simon Warren's Midland Climbs) was a bit of a brute. It also included 100Climbs No 13 - Dover's Hill just a few minutes after doing the steep Willersey Hill. Good workout I reckon.

As it turned out, the weather today is not bad so I could have done the Reliability Ride but heyho.

Dover's Hill - affectionately known as "Bastard Hill" in our club  (although I don't remember it being all that bad).
Sounds like a good session. It rained most of the day here yesterday, so I'm off out for a spin now.
