If I can repeatedly surge and recover on the less steep bits I might just stay within reach and get back on to the pack on the descent
On the stage 5 TDZ climb I went up the drag at a nice steady even pace, another guy would pass me when the gradient lessened but drop behind again on the steeper bits , I did beat him to the top, but he spanked me the downhill. I didn't look but assumed he was heavier than my 70kg.
I can't remember the precise gradient where W/kg starts to lose out to pure Watts, it's not a high percentage something like 3%
I've downloaded and installed Sauce (dummy account etc). I can get i to work ... but ... i can't get it to overlay Zwift.
Zwift just opens as a window that is ONLY zwift and Sauce (like Chrome etc) are all hidden
Any ideas?
I've signed up to £2 per month, but may be overkill for me as it' really only the drafting I'm interested in (and maybe the ave watts per ride for the ego). Does it get confusing when racing having so much info on the screen
The only downside was that I got a major speed wobble (tankslapper) on the fast (45mph) downhill. Bloody scary.

A number of years ago, I was cycling on tour in the Alps. I was almost always at the back.
We arrived on a section of road for a mile or two and a woman rider remarked as I passed her.
"had I found my second wind".
I said "no, the gradient allows my power to beat your lightweight."
Normal service resumed shortly thereafter
Yeah, that was nice. As @Legs said, it was very hilly. Some gradients are crazy too - you do a hairpin and are faced with what looks like a wall made of tarmac - 25% ramps are a norm and you get the occasional 30%.Spotted Pete enjoying a bit of Portuguese sun too.
Apart from the flying, airports I'd like to be in the warm weather
