You might be right
I realised I was in trouble when I was near my max HR as I joined the group and started to feel my breakfast make it’s way back up!
Maybe next time I will have to get myself in the pen closer to Andy and Phil and try to cling on to their back wheels.
I’d imagine these races are a lot of fun when you are in the pack. Will try again next week!

I had no opposition, so I thought I’d help Joffey get on, then have a play with the Ds.
I didn’t expect the Bs to wait for us 😂
Tried to lead @CXRAndy out at the end. We won all four pens, so that was a new thing 🙌🏻

It's much nicer to latch onto the faster guys even for a short while after the start, settle into the event

I was getting a bit worried when Phil and Steven got back on coming down from the roundabout
Maybe they burnt their matches doing it.
Anyhow, I enjoyed the event, suit me , apart from the incline
It's startling to see the pace of the B just ride away , what looks effortlessly up the Elysée, great riding lads
