Peter Salt said to me you can get a fitness boost after on FRR tour but I didn't expect to get to a level where I drop Tom Piddock on the Aquaduc KOM !!!. Well it appears that just happened . Jumped in to a race Ribble winter Series about 5 mins before the start and there was a bit of chat about T.Pidcock didn't think much about .Frantic start as usual found myself in group 3 on the roads with all C and we were closing on a red dot on the road .When I nearer the front off the group I could see the rider was T.Pidcck Ineos Grenadiers UCI/1 (so I presume the real deal). Any we caught him and he sat in ,I could help calling him out for not pulling 😂 hope he found it funny . Got to the sprint dropped everyone there group reformed before the climb where we dropped him again never to be seen again and his result has appeared on zwiftpower . Me 15th of 28

Does anyone know what the orange tick (or is it a white tick) means / gives - apart from being like a twitter verified celebrity? I always wondered if there was some other level of stats etc that these riders had. Reason I’m curious is there was an Irish para-triathlete I came across once who had the tick but I thought he was a bit of a lower eschalon sort of athlete to qualify as a pro/celebrity (not taking away from his ability which are no doubt much superior to mine). I thought he had paid for some sort of upgrade that mere mortals don’t get offered but then if that was an option I’m sure Zwift would monetise it across all users. Just curious. Maybe just a vanity thing.

Pretty sure the tick really only is a 'verified' thingy. It just means that this person is some sort of recognised influencer of sorts - in the Zwift world it doesn't take many subscribers / viewers to get that, I think.

Some pro riders have a little jersey that says 'PRO' instead of the tick - not sure what the threshold is for that but I'm pretty sure I've seen people who are national level pros that have it.

Just done Alexs Friday smash race ,3 laps Glasgow crit . Just 2 of us in pen D the other guy had steering , he basically just steered off me of his wheel at ever opportunity making me work hard blew the 3rd time up the kicker as that's the only place I could close any gaps , The race used Dirt cat which put me in pen D , Result I got dqed for w/kg so didn't make the podium in a 2 up race 😂
Off to look into steering you can really see the advantage in a small group

You will be reinstated, it's a ZP error with the setup (It's not a CE D-race, so wkg limits are irrelevant). I have to get Tim in the US to do it when he wakes up.
We had five in the next pen up. Was quite fun. We basically took it fairly gently except on the Clyde and at the end.

I agree steering is a great thing to have on any twisty course in smaller groups.

Next week will be the same time, but 2 laps of LaGuardia reverse. I'll post links when it's set up.

Phil. Your podium is fully restored
And this mistake with ZP has been corrected (we hope) so it shouldn't happen going forward.
