Life is far too short

Not short enough for some

Did my first ever Tiny Races series today - had done a similar sort of one in the past, but this was the first time doing the real thing. Can see how it could be quite addictive, although thoroughly knackering! Came 8th, 4th, 13th and 11th across the line (typical field about 75 riders), but will have to wait for ZwiftPower to catch up and DQ anyone who did not do all four races.

Second race wasn't too bad, but the third did hurt, especially as it finished at the top of the Rooftop KOM (and I got dropped from the front pack before it even started going up!). While in the pens for the fourth I did not feel like I had anything left in the legs to accelerate away from the start but somehow I managed to cling on and finished with the main pack, although somehow three broke away and stayed away for the whole thing (and they were all ones who did the full four races too).

Whenever I've done all four, without fail I finish one, think "I'm done!" but click into the next race 'just in case' and by the time it starts...
"Oh I might as well start it then. I can always quit." Somehow in that 4,5,6 minute period you go from "I can't breathe." To "Let's go again"
But it's heartening to see that everyone (apart from the cheats) is in the same boat and the cheats get DQed from the results.

And here's a video, with the boring bits between the races fast-forwarded through:

I went with a gravel bike on Race 1, which made it hard to keep up with the pack at first, but overall was the right choice; Tron for Race 2; a halfway house between aero and climbing for Race 3; then back to Tron for the final race - probably should have gone full aero (maybe even disc wheels) for this, but by this time I wasn't thinking straight and ran out of time before I realised.

I think the gravel bike is doing quite a bit of the heavy lifting at the end there!

It might be my imagination but I feel I seem to reel in people on Tron bikes much more quickly compared those on ordinary road bikes when on dirt (and not just this race but others I’ve done as well) but I’m not aware of any CRR differences there.

So I am considering getting a set of zwift play controllers , couple of questions ,anyone use them on an apple tv set up where I believe you have to connect them via the companion app . How easy are they to install and remove from the bike as I use my best bike for zwifting and quite often remove it for outdoor use
