So I am considering getting a set of zwift play controllers , couple of questions ,anyone use them on an apple tv set up where I believe you have to connect them via the companion app . How easy are they to install and remove from the bike as I use my best bike for zwifting and quite often remove it for outdoor use

It's a rubber strap, but I haven't removed mine since I bought them as my Zwifting bike is dedicated to indoor.

Connecting via Companion App is the way to go for Apple TV.

If it’s only for steering, a Sterzo Smart is, I think, a bit cheaper than the play controllers. I like mine because (although it doesn’t feel especially natural), steering feels more like steering than pressing a button on a handset.

I’ve not really used it in any races where I’ve felt it’s given me any big advantage, but it has opened up the opportunity to ride on Repack Rush, which is lots of fun (and my boys enjoy riding it as well!)

One thing what I noticed with play controllers. They are easier to use when ride from the hoods but If you sprint from the drops it might be bit of tricky to change the gear and reach your fingers to shifters.

Twisty circuits like Neokyo and crit events, its a real benefit. I will trade draft benefit to take the shorter line around bends any day

:B)

Sedate start which really suited me, I was literally sweating buckets whilst warming up. I thought I might have eaten something bad. I had all the fans blowing just to cool down before the start.

Went with the sprint, but did not go full beans, saving myself for Libby, which as expected was strong pace.

I managed to get over with leaders but the climb afterwards pushed me into the red and was gapped over the crest. I was then racing for mid pack finishing points.

Two guy from ZRScott tried to work me over before the second Libby climb and sprint finish. I don't where I found the pace but out sprinted both for the 10th maybe 11th.

Video to follow 😁

Particularly if you still hit them extra hard as well, you can make up a fair bit of ground.

Enjoy Richmond this morning Andy. :okay: Should be a blast ^_^
In your Glasgow crit race I had a 2 up race with someone with steering not only did he cut corners but he steered me off his wheel when I used a draft power up the ba*"£#d and steered away from me when he used an aero in a sprint ,that's when I realised steering was more than just a gimmick

I hadn't realised I had gone well over 1000W chasing the pack. Strava says I peaked at 1100 and something. Zwift always seem to just 1080W flat lines the power .

Must try harder

Always better if go over 1000W and you don't even realize, little bit like by accident. Then you know that you can give better peak when you really try it.

Brilliant. I got a new 15s PR on that FTS sprint. Peaked at 810 Watts. Was a fun race but absolutely brutal. I managed my goal of taking some points on all three segments, but I didn't have much left for Libby on lap 2.

This was my favourite bit
