I was informed by a busybody last year (after filming my Cx races) that you are not allowed to video British Cycling events.
(Not sure if Martin's was, but this may well be why riders don't do it.)
You can get prior permission to film BC events , I pretty sure Ed Laverack has filmed some of his racesI was informed by a busybody last year (after filming my Cx races) that you are not allowed to video British Cycling events.

Does seem on old fashioned rule ,it's not like it's shown on TV , surely any coverage would encourage more participationI prefer the "ask for forgiveness, not permission" approach. To be fair, I knew of the rule in advance, but didn't record any more after someone pointed it out. I'd already got two full races by then I'm not one for bullshitty rules and begging permission for things. I'd rather just not bother with any of it and ride on my own.
Grumpy old ****

I'd just ignore them, sneakily fit it just before the event.
Never followed rules if I think they're stupid
Nice write up. Sounds like that Twelves fella saved energy throughout and then pounced at the end. Would love to see the video of that uphill finish.
Perfect for a light sprinterThat's just cruel a nasty uphill finish. Suppose, a rider who kept their reserves in tact could come from way back to steal it.
Know the feeling. At the weekend I spent more than three hours on the bike for the first time since the start of June (ToC) and the saddle sores were out in force the next morning. And to think my originally planned ride was going to be a good 60-90 minutes longer - glad I cut it short really! You can tell I haven't been outside at all this year. 90 minute race and my backside is not battle hardened
