Stage 13 is gonna be fun with the first 2/3 cancelled!! A 2 climb shoot out!!
I find it funny, how they made them do a ceremonial neutral start, and then everyone hopped into the busses to get to the actual (changed) start

Will they then have another neutral start?

I did a different kind of crit last night - 10 laps of the Duchy Estate course! I didn't think I really wanted that kind of workout, but I rode my way into it, learnt where to conserve my efforts, and was actually feeling quite racy by the end. I went for a misguided dig at the end of the penultimate lap, but still had enough to go again on the finishing grind after I'd been caught, and so finished top B. Look what it did to my W'bal, though!

I finish at 3 on Fridays so get to see the giro and have a race with @Norry1 for my one crit ride if the week! Stamina definitely going but luckily don't get found out in crit races as much
I'm finding the 20min smashes a bit meh. Signed up for a 50k race later today.

EDIT: Did stage 3 of Crit Club already and intend to finish it, but unless the next Zwift Racing Series has some longer events, I think I'm going to find something else.

Owing to a monumental calendar cockup on my part, I won't be racing IRL tomorrow - so I decided to do a Zwift Race just to get the competitive itch scratched.

I did the Stage 3 Crit Club - LaGuardia Loop at 3:10 I mainly chose it as @mjd1988 and Simon Russell (I watch his vids and follow him on Zwift) were signed up.

It was a short race and a front group of 27 about half the starters came to the finish. I went at the base of the final lump before the finish. Did decent 30 second power but got 8th as the Watt Monsters kicked in

@mjd did well :okay: as did Simon.

They won't. The whole zRacing ethos is "done in an hour including warm-up/cooldown", so you'll never get a race much over 30 minutes there.

There is a new Dirt Series for individuals coming up over the summer. No details yet though. You might enjoy that Peter. As might others.

☀️ DIRT Racing Series: Summer of Champions ☀️ kicks off on 13th June. We'll run it for 12-weeks through to the end of August. It will be designed with the fact that it is Northern Hemisphere summer-time in mind ... so you certainly won't have to race every race to compete for the Series Title. And it's all about YOU, you Champions you ... so just an individual league for the first time from us.
(Felt more appropriate for the summer where its harder to get teams together consistently)

The rest of the details we've still got to work on ... BUT keep your summer Tuesdays free for some of the most competitive Individual Racing on Zwift. Its gonna be spicy! 🌶️ 😜

Sounds interesting. Hopefully can get some more regular riding by now

Maybe I'll have a look at that.

Just learned there's a new FRR series coming up too. Weekly; multiple time slots between fri-sun. But haven't read the details yet. May post them here if it looks tempting as most people race twice a week.

The pic shows how much more efficient you were. To be fair, I wasn't trying much to be economical as I felt fairly comfortable throughout the race - just not enough final grunt. Your pic doesn't show the final ZP figs (always takes hours). Your NP was 309W and mine was 275W - which shows how your sprint skews things :okay:

It seems the 1 min repeat training sessions my coach has given me are working - I did my best ever 30 seconds (in a Zwift Race) in that race.

Just need to get a 1,000W sprint and I'll be sorted ^_^
