Crank doping

Maybe it's just on the Garmin Vector 3 that I have?

Yep I have often thought that would be an easy way to artificially boost your recorded power numbers - just put in a much longer crank length. Hopefully that info gets beamed to Zwift whilst recording.

Luckily, the max error I can have is 172.5/170 (1.5%) if I ever forget to amend it. It doesn't usually cause me a problem as I have 2 sets of pedals. One is usually on the turbo (bike has 172.5 cranks) and one is on the road bike (170 cranks). It is only if I use my winter bike that I have to start thinking.

Still not figured my SB20 out compared to my Neo setup. Power wise it feels the same, except when you wind up power , resistance seems to build with it, making it quite hard to sustain. Also when easing off power I'd expect resistance to fall like freewheeling effect, but resistance holds on.

I'm not really complaining, well sort of, but I find it makes for a good leg workout, constant resistance, plus the shorter crank setup increases leg effort a tiny bit

When I get back on the Neo it feels great

Does the Stages bike have any tweakable profiles?
My Direto takes a long time to get off the power so takes ages to get into a super-tuck. That's a known thing, bit annoying. But with PD4, supertuck will become less of a thing as it'll be disabled if you're in the draft. (Attempting to slow packs down on the downhills).

Just me and @Legs signed up for the Jungle ITT tomorrow. Anyone else jumping in?
Yeah, only three riders in total signed up for the two events - bit disappointing turn out so far. I am happy to adjust times to make this more palatable to other riders. Certainly can bring the Thursday one forward by 30-60 minutes if needed as I'm the only one signed up for that right now.

I'm not doing evening rides any more, but I might do it in the morning.
I know that you have your own club and now know how to set up the specifics for this TT, but I would prefer it if you rode an officially sanctioned event! Plus if you nominate a time you're going to do it and I create an event for then, you never know but someone else on here might end up joining you, which they wouldn't be able to do if it was a private event.

I may do Thursday ... not sure yet
If you want to ride on Friday or at the weekend to give your legs a better chance of recovering, just shout and I'll set up another event then.

Yep I thought that, which is why I asked you for 1030 Tuesday morning a couple of days ago. I guess I should have 'pinged' you in the post to make sure you saw it

Can I have a Tuesday morning 1030 slot please?

It has some difficulty settings, but I haven't really played with them. I tend to walk in , decide which bike and then remember that I hadn't tried and adjustments

Shouting out some of the guys who have taken part in only some of the rounds so far, to see if they are interested in doing one more race.

@bridgy, @Milzy, @IrishAl (though maybe I shouldn't want him to take part as he's only 2:42 behind me on the standings!), @Brusgaard, @BurningLegs, @Noodle Legs.

Remember if you can't make any of the currently scheduled events then I'm open to adding in further dates and times. There are currently three set up at present - Tuesday, new at 10:30, plus 19:00 as usual & Thursday now at 18:30, though the timing of that last one can still be adjusted if people require.

Can't fo Fri or Sat as planning to be in Beckenham...

Legs not too bad. Feeling pretty fit. Was riding at altitude so I'd like to take advantage of that before it wears off 🤣
