I did Stage 3 of Race Scotland yesterday. It was on the Muckle Yin course which I haven't done before so I didn't know where I was most of the time ^_^

It was a very big field with 420 starters - and it was very highly ranked for a C race, 146 I think - so it was always going to be fast.... and it was!

I came 21st on the road and 19th on ZP and got my best ever race ranking of 202 which is a good sign.

The vid is here. Might be worth watching if you plan to do it later.

Nearing b numbers Martin, impressive return from injury, just shows what an endurance base can do.

Semi related, does anyone watch NorCal cycling on YouTube? They took someone with an FTP of 190 and with 8 months training FTP is now 350 or something mad. Not the most realistic trajectory for most people!

Crazy comeback, Martin. Keep it up!

Watched the video again, its very difficult to hang on when you lightweights go orange, the acceleration is rapid.:notworthy:
I especially like how, in race 1, the camera angle changes to behind Carl's wheel when I send it  Good acceleration that.

I think it was @BurningLegs who mentioned purple flashes on Intervals.icu last night. I'm quite pleased with this one because it was for the first five minutes of the ten-minute sustained effort.

Hi, I noticed a new Rouvy activities targeted on women and I can’t help but wonder what is preventing indoor cycling from reaching its full potential among female riders. Is indoor cycling viewed as too intimidating or exclusive? It would be great to have a conversation about this issue and explore ideas that could increase female participation in indoor cycling. What do you think?

Maybe Rouvy had that idea from Zwift, Zwift have events only for women. As we know that Rouvy isn't popular as Zwift, not even close and when I search something to ride I can't see much riders on any routes, only exception is rides on a recommended section. I think it's nice to see more riders on a route, both men and women. Actually I don't recognize which avatar is man and which is woman, nicknames doesn't reveal that much either . I would like to keep both gender's in a same ride, but that is only my voice. But I guess you are still free to ride how you like and with who you like. Is that women's community only a option?.

This is an interesting article looking at some of the things zwift has done to try and engage women. It's a huge untapped market, I get the impression than peloton has a much higher level of engagement compared to zwift, which is probably more in line with cycling clubs etc. I think zwift are generally good at trying to have the same level do exposure - equal coverage of the mens and womens indoor uci world championships for example (and same prize money?).

From behind, not easy to tell, but as they pass you, or you pass them, the shape from alongside is fairly obvious.

I need to pay attention better next time ^_^

Yes, that was me. I was pleased to see a purple for my 1 min power and a red star for an increased FTP (only by two watts, but on courses that were very on/off so I think there’s more potential there - I should go and try a long climb I think!)

On a side note for anyone else using intervals (@alex_cycles ) they are about to make sync from strava a premium feature, so look out for that! Either change how you’re syncing rides to intervals or pay up.

I do, actually use that site for awhile. Not supported their site yet but I was start to consider to fund their site. It's a most versatile data analyze site I have ever seen. About 3€/month isn't bad at all.
