Well done guys! Tim TTing to a huge victory in race one and Pete winning the reduced bunch sprint in race two for a win apiece. Pete finally winning a race after taking part In 47 races today.

Well done everyone for taking part. Good to see relatively new faces and also the likes of @Brusgaard back on the startline. Also good to see @BurningLegs sledging again. Well done Andy in the second race in particular

I think I need to work on my sprints against lighter riders. My acceleration was just too slow and ran out of road (and puff).

Edit; pancakes are not performance enhancing

Agreed on the pan cakes @mjd1988 🙂

A pleasure to race with you all tonight. A nice tussle between Tim and Pete.

Pete - I loved your early sprint from the reduced bunch in the first race. Great timing, don’t think any of us were really expecting that.

I definitely preferred the second course - it seems a bit more interesting to me and created some better racing. The group stayed together longer and the power was higher with a few different people putting in little digs. I knew I was in big trouble on that first course when we were cruising at 2w/kg and nobody was putting digs in!

Thanks for setting it up @steverob - and a shame you couldn’t join us.

Figured my best chance was to go solo rather than chance my arm with the sprinters…. I guessed that if I got a gap, you’d all look at each other and not want to chase me.

Must say that the second race was more enjoyable, though! It was a very cagey finale - Pete’s finish was awesome - must check his numbers 😳

Thanks very much for setting it up, @steverob 👍

Don't think we could chase you to be fair!

Surely we could?! A group of four against a solo rider? I’m confident we could have, but sprinters don’t like to work do they!!

Cheers, Lads. Those were some really nice races today.

Actually, especially happy with the first one - caught some of you sleeping, haven I? ;) @Legs was miles away at that point though - kudos. On fresher legs maybe I would have chased, unsuccessfully.

Second course was surge, recovery, surge, recovery - exactly how I like it. That sprint was weak but @Whorty did give me a countdown to a lead-out so it was 2v1^_^

Really enjoyed that ... Tim was a monster race 1

Race 2 was a lot of cat and mouse ... Tim took the sprint out of my legs with the dig 1km out. I didn't have anything left

Thanks @steverob for organising

Every 60-90 secs dig was putting me on my limit. I had no way of pushing on ... I gave my all trying to bridge to Tim that first race, took me a whole lap to recover. Then you bloody attacked on the hill second lap ... I was calling you all manner of names at that point

Agree the 2nd race was more tactical and nice to see more riders in the pack longer.

The multiple short races is a good format.
