The question is; whether to dig on the first lap or the second?

The second question is ... if you dig in, and get a gap, do you try to push it if you're on your own or sit up as you might get caught.

Remember the last race, me, you, Mike and Paul made a break and got a good way up the road but couldn't make it stick .... a lot of matches burned with little gain.

But then, taking all the sprinters to the line is not a good idea either as it's a bit more of a lottery.

Could be a laugh tomorrow seeing the various tactics play out.

I'm looking forward to you three giving me a nice lead out tomorrow ;)

All I need to do is get over the hill with you all, and hang on lol

What an opportunity ride with handcycle with them and tell them this is my handicap to you so keep on pushing, don't mind me I'm here all the time :becool:.

My disability is mental rather than physical so I don't think they'll give me any leeway

Why don't you try to join us @JuhaL for a spin .... nothing to win, nothing to lose, apart from some friendly banter on here before the race (and obviously lots of excuses afterwards on why I didn't win ...)
My main excuse will be the new RALLY XC200 pedals I'll be fitting tonight ... any loss is all their fault (somehow)

I've heard they measure high so no excuses 😂. My excuse is I'm rubbish at short efforts

And remember to give it your all in the first race tonight and leave nothing in the tank for the second race just 25 minutes later...
Tomorrow right?

I genuinely forgot there was a second race

@Peter Salt the precision 2.0 on a dura-ace crank is only £279 right now. The 2.0 is just as accurate as previous versions but battery life is apparently greatly improved.

I have the original version and change the coin cell once per year. This goes much longer, apparently.

You could do a lot with the spare cash compared to pedals that you can only use on half your rides!
