I hear an old asthmatic geezer did ok tonight ... although at the end of the race the rest of his team thought he was dying a painful death
You did fantastic, considering how rough you were

I was probably too busy having one of my own to notice! Or at least that’s how it felt!I may have freaked Chris (@Noodle Legs ) a bit, as he hadn't had the pleasure before of hearing me have a full on asthma attack 🤣

Someone here will feel vindicated 😁
Well I’ve just had news that my work wants me in the office on the 21st, which means I’ll end up missing the two Tiny stages of the Splitters event I organised!
It’ll still go ahead though so make sure you sign up for them. I will be around for the longer stage on the 28th however.
Not sure if I'll get much done but have hopefully at least signed up nowAfternoon Ladies & Gents.
This is a penultimate call for those interested in the Flamme Rouge Racing World Tour. You have to sign up before Saturday - even if you want to do just one stage.
There's a great selection of stages - from sprinty to climby, ITTs, and 'tiny races'. 7 time slots available for each stage.

Well done guys! The Splitters B team was hit hard by illness - only 5 of us could race and 3 weren't particularly well! So we didn't quite uinish the league as we'd hoped but we came 9th on the night and remained 5th in the league overall. Thanks guys for the (mostly) fun season - when we were at full strength and all fit we did show we were capable of competing for top spot in the league so really encouraging.
My race was a bit of a disaster - I didn't feel great (recovering from Covid which I was ill with last week) but to make things worse, on lap 2 going up breakaway Brea I had 3 power dropouts - the first was just before the segment started which meant I had to burn a match to catch back on. I was then going quite well up the climb and was near the front but just as I dropped a PU and everyone's power went orange - another dropout. That was any chance of segmnent points gone but I was still just about on the back of the front group so not the end of the world.....and then ANOTHER dropout just as I- we got to the finish banner, which was really cruel as it meant I lost the wheels of the group and couldn't re-make contact. Last lap I was in no man's land but had a bit of fun trying to catch the rider a few seconds ahead of me.....
Video below - will start at the end of lap 2 when all the drama happened!

That first dropout was a slap; second - a gut punch; third - literal hit below the belt
I did chuckle when you eventually regrouped with a few other riders, just for them to go left on the intersection

Well there will be at least two other rounds (possibly three) but they haven't been scheduled yet, so you'll still have a chance.I’ve just remembered I’m away next week on me hols so I’ll miss the events.
