Anyone else going to be doing Tour de Zwift this year? I'm down to do the first stage this evening. Hopefully it'll be fun riding in a big group in a semi-competitive situation, without too much pressure. At least it'll help motivate me to get on the bike .

When I first rode a TdZ stage in Jan 21, I put out 228W for 38 minutes and it was a full-on TT all the way! There were something like 3000 people riding the event, so practically everyone had draft, the result being that it was just really fast!

Also looking forward to the rollout of the Scotland map in a few weeks :okay:
I'm going to do it, did Royal Pump Room 8 at 17:00, there were pace partners starting ahead of the pack, I caught and stayed with Coco till the first KOM then dropped like a stone.

They only do 2x XP for ToW, which I think is an oversight. Perhaps they're counting on the New Christmas Toy factor and the New Year's Resolution factor to bolster the participation for TdZ.

At Level 34, I don't really care too much about XP - I suppose I'll buy the Super9 disc for TTing when I get to Level 35, but the marginal gains are minute once you get past a certain point. If only Zwift would allow you to clear out (or better, archive) your garage to get rid of the frames and wheelsets that you buy on the way up!
Ah, got my tours mixed up then! I still might jump on for Z2 here and there but not specifically aiming to ride it.

I did the A ride in Yorkshire this morning. Part of my getting fitter for summer plan :becool:
I remembered not to get drawn into the race at the start and found my pace. Luckily, even though its been a while, i remebered where the big climbs were and coped OK with them and could see a few who had underestimated the 15% inclines.

Finished in 1hr 5m - shame it wasn’t sub 1 hour but enjoyed it !

Andy, I'm certain you have some sort of high-tech military facility underneath your farm. Friggin' 15 minutes after the race and your video is up in full HD. Bonkers

I've now got 2.5gb network with 100mb up and down from a 5g mobile connection . It's lovely

I ended up racing at 9pm rather than taking it at all easy! I was in a small group at the front which was quickly whittled down to 7. A lightweight A rider and I got away on Pot Bank on the second lap and held 10s over the chasers with 4km to go, but we got caught on the last drag. I led out the sprint and it was looking good, but was just pipped by a little Japanese fella with a helmet powerup!
