Today's "interesting tech occurrence". Investigating the use of ZP Live with a view to "seeing who the hell your opponents are for SBP".
Turns out it's going to be too difficult for that purpose as you can't select any riders until you've already started the race. It could work if you had someone do it for you, but that's too much faff. So I've given up on that idea. (Also WTRL reckon they're going to provide a way - haha - we'll see )
I did, however use it to monitor my Innsbruck race (all cats together) and it was useful to show me who in my blob were the Cs that I was actually competing with for the podium. I was in a blob of about 16, some of them were Bs. Two were Bs racing in C. A few weren't on ZP at all. But it showed me clearly that there were four of us in the blob competing for the podium, and who they were. Found that really useful. How many times have you been disappointed on the line to get pipped by somone, only then to find out they weren't even on ZP? This should help reduce that uncertainty. Quite pleased, really.
