How do you select the pen for TT in FRR?

I tried something a bit different this morning: I set a workout at 45% FTP for 15 minutes and 100% FTP (295W) for 51 minute, and rode Road to Sky, advancing the workout step as I hit the timing beam at the bottom of the Alpe. It stopped me from overcooking myself at the bottom of the climb and, although I had to bail out after 37 minutes, I still got to the top in 49:25. In fact, bar a little rest, the effort was probably more intense after I switched to slope mode!

Nice. I’ve often thought the Alpe would make a good unders/overs workout.

Like @alex_cycles says, you can select any pen for the ITT. Going for A might be a bit of a bummer though as everyone will be going quicker

P.S. Note that the lead-in does not count - just the volcano lap.

5:54.6@263W for me. I expect most of you Watt-monsters will smash that. I did an InnsbruckRing 3-lapper after that in C and got bronze. (Couldn't be arsed with the full length FRR race today). Volcano flying lap was fun though.

Anyone doing the 2nd stage later today? My plan is to do the ITT at 2pm and then the stage at 6pm. Looks semi-long at 53k but most of it is super flat so should be quick.

I wasn't much quicker. 5:40 at around 295W. I see we're the same weight now ;)

I've only just realised both stages are on the same day ! Need to rejig timings if I'm doing both
Haha. They set it up so that stage 2 slots start 30 min. after stage 1 - so plenty of time to finish the ITT and then join the pen for the other.
