I wasn't much quicker. 5:40 at around 295W. I see we're the same weight now ;)
Are you calling me fat? :laugh: Bad time of year for weighing, really :eek:

Haha. They set it up so that stage 2 slots start 30 min. after stage 1 - so plenty of time to finish the ITT and then join the pen for the other.

In theory, but in reality my iTT start time was 1042, I finished at 10:54 and the next race started at 1100.
No way, José :eek::laugh:

Not helped by the fact I've done 50km outside this morning !! . May be beaten before I start . Was planning on doing the TT at 1900 . Wondering wether my legs can do 1730 TT then 2000 race ??

You know these FRR races aren't compulsory, right? :biggrin:
As usual with these series, I'm cherry-picking the ones that work for me. That would be quite a lot of volume for one day.

Not compulsory!!
So the plan is give the TT a go and see how the legs feel . But I do think a 50km race will be asking a bit much
Just annoyed with myself I hadn't checked the dates as I wouldn't have done 50km outdoor this morning and done the TT early then the race this evening

Hmm... If you're thinking GC then it would probably make sense to do the 17:30 ITT in Z2 - that will cost you a minute or two. And then the 18:00 race that has around 300 people signed up - pretty much a guarantee of finding an appropriately paced group and possibly making up that whole loss.

Cheers @Peter Salt
GC to me is just about finishing all the stages not position , Your suggestion makes perfect sense . It's just wether I can face the 50km race mentally so if I z2 the TT and don't do the race I blow both so I'm torn

Well... It will be at least 80 minutes. I'd say best to start at 6pm then 8pm for that reason too. Also, two extra hours to recover before the next one tomorrow.

The race itself is nothing tremendously difficult, it just drags on and on. The most dispiriting part is when you think you are approaching the final Volcano climb and it redirects you to do another lap of the Volcano circuit instead. I had looked at the map only briefly before the race and wasn't expecting that - especially as the group I was in was overtaken by a group of A's at that point who DID go straight on and up the climb (guess they were actually 6-7 minutes ahead of us) while we turned left.
