Nice race @CXRAndy :notworthy:

I almost bailed after 10 minutes, nothing in legs. I probably need to ride more than once a week in the new year

Behave Andy! How am I supposed to keep my minute's lead on the GC if you keep chipping away at it?

And Martin was close behind as well.

Oh well. My secret weapon is the route for round 4  Let's just say it's not as flat as RGV

I thought you were doing quite nicely there. :okay: I saw Steen bobbing around us a few times. Didn't spot Martin, but saw him join.

Felt really good after the initial mad start. The viaduct, I was holding back to stay in the lead pack, the rollers upset my rhythm a bit . Then I just focused on my pack position up the final twisty climb. I never looked at my stats until the descent. I had a ghost PU but didn't deploy. Went slightly late but clawed a few places back.

I can say that was one of my best results 10th from 289 starting.

That course does suit the power riders, no climb is long enough to dent the weight disadvantage.

Our group was flying tonight. I was struggling to hold on at times (especially when they keep dropping those damn burittos).

Martin (@Norry1 ) very kindly wears a green hat the same as me, so I can pick him out

No, I was really struggling to hang on. Not enough riding in the legs and they were turning to jelly. Didn't have a sprint at the end. managed to finish in the lead group though, so at least I haven't lost too much fitness I suppose.

Yep, I had 3 burritos

I lost the lead group just after the aqueduc KOM but was fine in (what I assume was) the second group of around 20.

Did ok in the finish sprint, worked hard to stay near the front as we approached it and was third of the group, I think.

67th in Zwift, not looked at ZP yet, in 35.35

The league hasn't updated, so will need to wait to see if I need to go all out to catch you up Alex. ;)

It was good to see a few Cycle hatters in the mix :hello::hello:

Amazing effort. Great result. Well done.
Well I think you took nearly 2 minutes out of me. I have you at 1:28:40 now and I'm 1:29:35

But I have only one thing to day about that. Well, three actually...

Three Little Sisters

Know you love that Volcano summit finish
