Chain chomper, Innsbruckring & Out and Back Again look more fun for the non-sprinty types.

It will be interesting to see what the new Battle Points look like. Hope they add a useful/fun dimension to the scoring.

:okay:

Excuses for performance or lack thereof will be graded out of 10, and anything under 11 will be rejected.

Excuses for not turning up will be rejected and your local "rescheduling representative" will pay you a visit
(With the exception of the "small persons exemption" on TTT weeks for those under 70kg )

😁

You’re almost correct.

Two notable things you got slightly wrong.

The excuse range is actually from 10 down to -100. Death being classed as a solid 9 (Provided its mid race of course, otherwise it’s a 6)

There is no no ‘small person exemption’. Think you’re mistaking it with the construction worker exemption. Which extends to people who run electrical firms

When can we start putting excuses in for round 3 . No idea of the date but I'm sure I've got something on
Really? Innsbruckring isn’t THAT bad - it’s mainly flat plus the Leg Snapper once per lap. The Richmond climbs course we just did was far worse!

I am going to join the race Steve suggested

It’s at 3:30 so probably not one for World Cup watchers. Or people who have an aversion for getting promoted…
I am usually a big football fan but this World Cup, apart from the England games, I haven’t really watched much of it - think it’s just that I can’t get into it being at the wrong time of year. However I might have the final on iPlayer on my phone while I ride!

With all this talk of computers, I thought I'd look into getting a better rig:tongue:

Should I spend £2k on a NUC Extreme i9 with latest Graphics card?

or

alter Game recording to high and buy $19 screen recorder software ?

My Yorkshire long pockets are getting deeper
What's the recording software?

ZRL courses announced (2 & 5 TTTs).

Also "Segment Battle Points" for points races
No details on that apart from...

"Segment Battle Points (SBP) Starting in Round 3 of the 20022/23 season, all riders will score Segment Battle Points. More details to follow."

All rides will score segment battle points? That very much sounds like a medal for showing up

GCN Final Day was good :okay:

Just realised it was held near where I went on cycling camp (Covid-wrecked) last March. I did the Coll de Rates that they did but they seem to have an alternative route near the top.
Watching the contestants was good. But, as I suspected a few pages ago, they absolutely did the older female rider dirty. She won all challenges, came 2.5 minutes ahead of nearest competitor up a 15 minute climb, beating pro times for the QOM, and in the end they chose a teenage lass because she's a teenage lass. I get it, but then again: Why have older riders there in the first place?

Anyone have first hand experience with exposure rear lights?

Yeah they did something similar a couple of seasons ago. Last season they also clearly knew who they wanted to pick before the challenges

I boycotted the whole thing Steve. It makes me a bit of a hypocrite because I watch champions league, many city, PSG games etc etc... But I can’t bring myself to watch it.

Tough one isn’t it. On the one hand like Pete says maybe they should just invite the people they see as genuine pro contract contenders. On the other hand I’d go into it knowing I wasn’t going to get the contract just to try and compete. Maybe it makes it more watchable having an age spread? Don’t know if that’s true…

I recently bought a trace r but I've stopped commuting so not had a chance to use it . First impressions excellent build quality , very bright with loads of modes ( probably too many ) and slightly complicated to find the setting you want . Mounting is designed for round seat post it sorted of fitted on my D shaped tube but I bought an adaptor from exposure just a rubber shim £5

👍 Thanks Rider

I want to fit it to my saddle rails

Once you’ve found the mode you like I assume you can switch it on and off from that mode rather than scrolling through them all?
