I remember everything as you mentioned it, other that you two wishing me well!

Maybe if you hadn’t of sped up once you spotted me it might have been more audible? :headshake:

‘‘Twas a dark dark day indeed…I had so much salt on my jersey I was worried it was going to turn into a giant crsytal!

I don't know what you're talking about, I clearly remember us slowing down slightly and saying something extremely supportive like: "oh look it's Tommy! - alright mate, oooh that looks painful. See you at the finish? :hello:"

We may even have thrown in a "good luck" too. I'm really not sure what more we could have done 🤷‍♂️

So for workouts should you use your FTP or you zFTP if they're different, do you know? Or is the zFTP completely irrelevant to that sort of thing? Mine's the opposite of Martin and my zFTP is 17 watts lower than my FTP on Zwift.

Actually, thinking about it does the FTP on Zwift ever go down, or does it just stay for ever at the last highest value it got to?

They're saying whichever is the most up-to-date. Zwift auto-FTP never goes down, but I've given up on ramp tests as I find them inaccurate.

Thanks. I've never done any kind of FTP test on Zwift (not that I can remember anyway) so the FTP figure on there is just whatever it calculated automatically whenever that was

Behave! It's got me in B, but that's just silly with people like Hivey in C. Stupid single-point W/kg measurements don't need replacing with even more stupid measurements. We just need a results system. It's coming. They aren't developing CE any more. It's already 'deprecated' but they had to make the data transparent in the interim while the next system is designed and built. It'll likely be months or years.

So which part of the metric has got you into Cat B for category enforcement @alex_cycles , just out of interest?

I did NY forward KoM climb as the finish to a Tiny Race on 5th November which really was a maximum effort (HR 196, max is 197) but got me 293W over 5 minutes. (Also got me into the top 100 Cs on ZP). But straight after that I was a B in CE.

The MAP value which must be based on that effort is 4.30 (B threshold is 4.2).
That will expire in a couple of weeks. Until then I'm getting my arse kicked in B

I so cannot wait for a results-based system. The current system is so heavily weighted towards 85kg+ sprintbaggers, it just isn't funny. I've just today got pushed out of the top 100 in C and it's chock-full of 85kg+ guys with a kilowatt sprint who could all place in top-10 on a flat B race.

Beating those ****s up the KoM in Roule Ma Poule for bronze was probably the most fun I've had this year, but they all smashed it yesterday - even that course was more sprinty than climby  But it is what it is, and it's still fun.

I think it was at this point I got cramp in my smiling muscles 😁

:angel::angel::angel:

Results based, if implemented well, should stop sandbagging within weeks as those who win constantly get bumped up .... I guess the question everyone will want to know is, how will it be implemented?

There is a zwift forum thread where the guys developing it are talking to others about it and another one with the guys from https://www.zwiftracing.app/ guys too. It looks as if they are going for a "ranking plus results" model which sounds really hopeful

Race organisers will also have the option to customize how the race pens are organised (e.g. ranking, power, weight etc.). Still at the design stage though. But no new work will be done on ZwiftPower as that system too is 'deprecated'.

I think so long as the Zwift app ensures riders are placed in the correct pen then ZwiptPower can just be used as a simple results based system.

Points + results sounds promising.

I'm ranked 1055 on the link Alex

You're 1285 but with a gold coloured badge.

Which way does the ranking work? I presume higher is better
