Not entirely sure what the right answer would be.

I was once asked: 'Does this dress make me look fat?' and said: 'The dress is fine'. That didn't go down well.

The correct answer to "does this dress make my bum look big?" is "No. Your bum makes your bum look big."
But it won't win you any diplomacy prizes.
Buying an exercise machine is a bit less direct  (even better if she actually wanted one )

I once bought the Mrs an Iron for her birthday. It didn't go down well. I just gave her money for her birthday after that - far safer.

I bought a girlfriend a washbasket, she was so untidy with her clothes 👌

This looks a fun way to recon Cobbled Climbs for ZRL week 6. Essentially it's a bimble and smash race. Only the times on the segments count. Between the segments you can take it easy. No categories.

It's on Wednesday morning and evening...

1910 https://www.zwift.com/uk/events/view/3296480

OTR’s Snap Crackle Pop takes on a new twist during ZRL round 2. We now take on 5 punchy climbs in 1 hour, but all in 1 event: 3x Libby Hill plus 2x 23rd St. Best result over 3 weeks, where only segment times count (not finish time).

King/Queen of Libby Hill: 24.4km / 15.1mi (~2.5 laps) of Cobbled Climbs route, where race result is sum of 3x Libby Hill plus 2x 23rd St segment times.

Riders need to join ZwiftPower.com to see their results as sum of segment times.

4 time slots on Wed for evenings in APAC, EMEA, US-East and US-West.
Plus an “Encore” time slot on Sun morning in US-West / afternoon in EMEA.
Starts Wed Nov 30th, ends Wed Dec 14th.

Race as many times as you want, only your best result counts over the 3 weeks, all time slots.
Ride at a relaxed pace between the timed segments.

Completed 5a/B Makuri race. First race pan flat sprint- didn't contest sprint, just followed lead group.

Second race , I was faffing with looking in the Zwift Garage. Forgot the time and returned to start with 3 seconds to go. Id switched the fan off between races, with 10 mins cooling down. Couldn't start the fan until I spotted a small descent, leaping off bike, knock fan over scrambled to get it upright and started. Lucky enough I was still within reach of the leaders. Finished event flustered

I was faffing in the garage too, trying to find a gravel bike, when the race started ... I had to chase back on to group so burned a lot of matches before the race really starts

That sounds hilarious. I have my fans on Tp-Link Tapo wifi-controlled sockets (app-controlled in Google Home). They're brilliant. Only for on/off though. I can change the settings with a stick to press the buttons

I did Race 5a as part of my warmup to Tuesday’s ZRL! Maybe not an ideal choice but I felt that as it was only going to take 11-12 minutes and I probably wouldn’t have to go all that hard to stay with the lead group on the flat (averaged 150bpm compared to the 170+ I get in ZRL) and I would have 25 minutes to warm down/rest afterwards, I’d be fine. Didn’t compete in the sprint - just rolled in last out of the front group, still a minute ahead of the second group.

Hoping to do 5b tomorrow morning but it depends on how early I can raise myself out of bed. I’m away most of the weekend so this might be my only chance to ride it.

Well as long as there is nothing in the small print about Yorkshiremen winning Irish leagues I secured the RWB Primor League tonight and won a jersey.

In D the fields were pretty small and weak. A couple of the stronger riders got upgraded on a mountain stage but all said and done I could only try and beat the riders in front of me and I’m pleased to win.

They do put on some good leagues though. Good varied courses with something for everyone. Will try C next time

Super strong time Carl for 5b :okay:

I tried to stay with the strong climbers on the hill. Just kept fighting to the top. Ended up in a little group of 4 .... 1 got away from us, it was only when looking at results I realised I was chasing a 45kg ringing wet kid  He nearly gave me a heart attack keeping up with him!

I'm coming into a butvif form again .... although that could change after today and an all day drinking sesh with my mates xx(
