Tiny races Saturday?

I've got a security door to fit or at least get the frame in but will try to get on these

I'm tempted if legs feel up to it ... see how early I get up in the morning.

Yes Lee, spin up from large gear to build cadence. My best sprints are usually over 125 rpm cadence

I always sit ... but same as you, I really spin up the cadence. I find standing I lose momentum so seated (on Zwift anyway) is better for me.

Maybe I need to practice standing and see if I can get more power as I seem to be stuck just over 1000 watts ... to beat the best C guys I need to be adding another 200 watts I think

Completed the Tour of Makuri yesterday with 2 free rides. Had zero energy - and I mean zero. Averaging 132W was a grind  Maybe the Covid/Flu jabs were kicking in.

I’m no expert, but I believe zero energy would have produced zero watts? Not as bad as ‘leaving your lungs on the road’, or ‘ literally nearly dying’ to be fair.

My favourite was a race where several people declared their own deaths at various points in the proceedings 😄. I think Quincy might have had a different opinion!

With your weight Carl, I don't think you need more power. Your real strength, is the ability to go earlier than most and hold the speed.

Im looking forward to using my SB20. Particularly interested in dream drive and the difference a solid frame has on my sprint performance ^_^

I've had notification this morning, it's coming early December now :hyper:

OK, I'll be a bit more precise. I managed to expend 737 Kilojoules of energy but it felt very much harder than that ^_^

That is true, I do win more sprints going early and hanging on for dear life ... I'm more successful on uphill sprints too, for obvious reasons ^_^

Just need a bit more fitness so I can do a few more repeat sprints in a race as just one sprint at the moment is killing me. 12 on Tuesday is going to be interesting ... will become a very tactical race and anyway who can hang on to the lead group should be picking up FAL points as the race progresses.

Re the new bike, hopefully the rigidness of it will give you a bit more sprint power ... those C riders in our league will get a shock :notworthy:
