Yeah the FTS points for the C league are faster than ours were! Guess div1 C league is full of sandbaggers?

The top 3 teams are super strong and equally able across their team. To try and contest sprints, you need 900W and more for sprints and for climbs I had to hit 600W on the last lap KOM just to stay in my pack.

I cant remember ever having to do these numbers a few years ago, maybe I did, they were just easier back then :B)

I ain’t sure at moment - can’t see the point if more of us don’t enter in to the ‘ I’m gonna do all of them ‘ spirit

Not sure many here are physically able to race 7 times in 8 days though.

I know people can’t commit but it’s not the same if you ain’t all hurting 😁

Nobody else in CC has bothered with the WICR series, but I'm still enjoying it (or maybe that's WHY?)
2-3 races a week of that plus ZRL is as much as I can (want to) do.

We were in a lower division. Have we been in division 1 before? It's brutally tough. I only got 5th FAL on lap 3 by sneaking off the front on the kicker before the sprint (feather) smashing down the downhill and then going hell for leather on the flat bit. Managed to pass ART's new superlight (49kg) who was trying the same trick but a couple of others passed me. Should have done it again on lap 5.

Now there a fee more racing in other platforms I might plod along in them
Least then I am only letting myself down on poor performance 😁

Coming straight out of the ZRL season of races I found I really struggled doing back to back races each day in that FRR series - I could feel myself getting worse each race and struggling to recover so I bailed out in the end as I thought I was digging a bit of a hole for myself. I think 1 or 2 races a week is about right for me - I could maybe do 8 days straight after a good period of rest before and after but with a focus on ZRL I can't really do that. So I don't think I'll even try and race that series next time round

But if you treat it as a team thing, we really need to get 7+ in each event. It would be madness for me to try 8 races in 9 days at the moment but 3-4 I can manage. I like the idea of the different Category gradings which should make for closer racing.

Yes the gradings work well Martin, splitting each category down further. So at the end you feel pleased having outperformed your subdivision and taking a few scalps from those just above in rankings.

The back to back days, do make it very tough physically. Like Paul and probably most others, see a drop off in performance and the spiral into lots of fatigue

Actually 3 in the top 10. Very short sprint after a downhill so more about raw watts so guess that makes sense

But also 6 of the top 10 in our B Cat race would have made the top 10 in Cat A div 2 in our region - and your 1st place FTS time would have won in that Cat A race too. So I just think there's a fair bit of overlap between cats when it comes to a short, fast sprint like that

It did definitely feel like digging a hole. But once you're done, you get to stand on a little hill made from all the soil you just dug out ;):becool: In the long run, it makes you stronger.
