Any suggestions for best bike to use on the Chain Chomper course? I did it on the Tron for Stage 2 of Race Makuri, but wondered if a Gravel bike may be quicker - may have another go at it and aim for a better time.

The aqueduct is a segment you can almost not notice if it’s not a prime. But if it is, there’s a chance of getting dropped as it’s almost harder to latch back on as it is to try and sit with the sprinters.
Glad you didn't tell me this before I dropped slightly off the back just before it to go for FTS points

From - https://zwiftinsider.com/route/chain-chomper/

"Go with an all-arounder road bike setup since there’s so much pavement. Be confident that even if the MTB or Gravel riders drop you on the dirt climb, you’ll be able to claw them back on the long paved descent to the finish line."

Sounds like Tron's a good choice

Cheers. That's a shame - I was hoping there was some free speed to be had

I use a Zwift add on called Sauce. Its a third party app that overlays additional information. You can customise the data in many ways to suits your needs/wants. I got it to see the draft figure whilst racing.

Now I can see when I'm optimally positioned in a pack for draft, I've gone back to the Tron Bike.

I'm interested in giving that a go. I didn't notice it on your video of last night's race, did you not use it for that?

Nice one Andy 👏. According to Zwiftpower I can't even hit 900w for 15 seconds and would really like to improve my sprint. It has improved a bit, but if I could get it up to 1,000w I think I could do much better in ZRL races which are so often sprint dominated. My 1 minute and 30 second power is relatively better and that's why I think I do OK on the short punchy climbs copared to the flat sprints.

By the way, what did people think of last night's course? I thought it was a really good race route myself with a lot of variety. And with two medium climbs at the start and finish, an uphill sprint/KOM and two flat sprints it had a bit of something for everyone

I enjoyed the course! I suspect if the kom was a segment I would have enjoyed it less because I was right on my limit to stay on the first time and blown to pieces the second time.

Hmm. I just went to Enter Stage 2 of Race Makuri again and it seems I am not allowed to enter in D even though I am still D in ZP. Not sure I am mentally prepared to go race in C yet. Oh well

How about the World Indoor Cycling Rankings series? Doesn't use Cat enforcement. Also has upper and lower C which if you wanted to you could go lower C if you don't meet the D criteria? Raced my first one this morning in upper C

I enjoyed it overall, though I was pretty much left floundering up the first climb. I had a fallback plan and it worked out OK gathering several more points than just finishing.

Hill and flats with sprints, yeah good course.

Onto the TTT were we might have a special guest :okay:
