That's out of the way
I tried to stay with the big group as long as possible, seeing that the fractured packs were tiny behind. Alas not, I found myself marooned between groups for a few several minutes. Eventually group of 4 then 5 formed, with a strong pair of Canyon riders leading. They tried once to break our pack with a big sprint attempt on one of the primes. All it did was get me a new PB . I paced Petit ok(PB), slightly panicked when I could see loads of groups gaining as I neared the top. I put in a big effort a few times to group up with riders in front on the downhill-it worked. I stuck with this group contesting the sprints . Slightly died 400yds from the line as you start to climb Petit, again!.
Del C was in a group just ahead of me-Nice one Del
As ever video coming- I know you lot cant wait
That was a fast start today. I was ok until about 8k in. A small gap and that was it. Out the back, but got in with a group of 8 that then became 9, and that stayed together all the way to the line.
I’ve done every stage so far. Legs are tired, but the endurance still seems ok. I’ve contested every sprint, which I don’t always do, but the FTS points here make it worthwhile. I think my last Pave sprint today was a bit of a token effort really!
