Alex you were 20s faster up the first climb and 1 min on the final.

I was 2m20 faster on the flat. Swings and roundabouts :okay:

So if there would have been a bit more climb I'd have HAD YA. To be honest though, I think I've got used to the ZRL type of races where you kill yourself to stay in the front pack and smash all the primes. None of this "no drafting" steady-state nonsense.

It does feel odd not to be able to draft. then again riding another off your wheel because it's man on man is nice.

I didn't record a video tonight, I thought it would be a dull event. I was wrong:laugh:

How many teams are there? It does seem to be a hard series, especially for the A.B cats. I see lots of riders

Looks like 59, but we're not large enough as it counts the top 10 results for each team. We have yet to field 10 results in a race so the fact we're not last is pretty good, really ^_^ It's been a fun couple of races. I'm doing Friday, I think, but that'll be my lot.

I learned yesterday that flat TTs are definitely not my thing, but it was good to have tried it. I was 6th from last in my category
Really long climbs are not my thing either, but maybe I can work on that. Give me a punchy, sprinty ZRL-like race with drafting and tactics. :okay:

Ah right, not enough riders in our overall team to be competitive.
ZRL suits us better in the case of rider numbers.

I need to work on my 2-3 min power whilst approaching at threshold to a climb.

The new addition to the roads in Makuri Islands will almost certainly be coming out in the next few weeks. There's a Tour of Makuri starting on the 3rd November and while the first four stages are on existing routes/roads, stage 5 (beginning 18th Nov) and stage 6 (21st Nov) are both on new routes - Makuri 40, Turf & Surf, Country to Coastal and Island Hopper.

The low detail maps that have been released so far (see https://www.zwift.com/uk/ridemakuri-stage5 and https://www.zwift.com/uk/ridemakuri-stage6) makes it looks like there's two ways to get to the new roads - either a junction in the tunnel between the original map and Neokyo, or across the bridge in the harbour area of Neokyo that was previously inaccessible.
