Depending on time slot, looks like 100-250 riders.

Can someone explain to me how do you join the pen and then leave to do your warm-up and rejoin in the same spot?

You literally join the pen, then quit the ride. Go do a warm up, then when you re-join the pen you're still sitting there nicely at the front.

Feels like a bug in Zwift to me, I think you should either stay in pen to hold place, or if you quit then lose your place ... but as it allows this then I do this all the time

Cheers. Will try it in few minutes and see what happens.

Joing the pen, quit ride (and bin/discard it rather than save it). Then go and do your warm up ride wherever, and re-join the pen when you're ready and it will put you back where you joined the first time. I do it all the time

Well done guys! Was hoping to make the race this evening but we've got a virus in the household so feel like dirt. Hopefully get a chance to join the race tomorrow

Same here, I’ve been feeling rough and haven’t ridden since Tuesday!

Wife and children also affected, so kind of rolling with the punches and hoping we all recover soon. I was feeling better yesterday and planning to ride tonight but woken up feeling awful again so going to wait

It’s so frustrating!!

No shame in getting soundly beaten by @<Tommy> - it's happened many times - but slightly humbling that he stopped twice to get rid of a spider and to re-attach a crank that fell off and still beat me by that much :B). Maybe that's the trick though - have a couple of little breaks - It's certainly what my body was telling me to do!

A well deserved upgrade to Cat A for him though as a result - well done mate, and if you're going to ride like that, good riddance quite frankly :hello:

:okay:

Just looking up the 10am event: https://zwiftpower.com/events.php?zid=3128204

Looks like it ends at the Marina Reverse sprint banner but that sprint itself is not a prime. There is no segment for the Petit Reverse so only KOM primes are the Aqueduct forward and reverse (which are effectively very long sprints). Just over an hour for the fast lads.

Extremally low average and 20 min. power numbers from the top. Suggests that if you can keep up on the primes, you might as well be able to stick to the front.

@Whorty, you're not going to pass an opportunity to beat some A+, will you? ;)

It finishes at the Marina Sprint banner (not reverse - that doesn't appear until the end of teh full 61km version of this course)

FTS segments in order are:
1. Pave Sprint reverse (circa 11.6km)
2. Aqueduc KOM reverse (circa 13.3km)
3. Ballon Sprint Reverse (circa 17.7km)
4. Aqueduc KOM (circa 33.9km)
5. Pave Sprint (circa 35.9km)
6. Marina Sprint (circa 46.9km)

I'm assuming the finish banner is right after that Marina Sprint segment.

As you say there's the Petit KOM reverse to get over in between 3 and 4 above which will be a 6+ minute climb I think, but it's not a segment so no FTS points for it

Man, this is thoroughly confusing. Just checked the primes on that 10am race and there's no Marina Rev. at all - you're right. This means that the segment that starts 0.6km in is not a timed segment - but I'm sure some folks will get confused so better be prepared to go. FRR notice board says it counts but don't see how they can get the times if its not included in ZP primes?

The last one appears to count, just like you say. I'll do my best to cling on to the front, probably until the Petit.

Just found this old recon video of this Petit Boucle race which looks like it finishes in about the same place as the Flamme Rouge race which might be helpful:
View: https://youtu.be/VY3qTN_yuaA

Yes, I found some as well - including from ZRL. All seem to end at 47km. I wonder whether the ZI route guide refers to when you do a free ride instead of racing it.

Few people signed up for 7.30, hoping to make it
I think I'll try the 6pm today. My bet is that will be the race with the largest field thus increasing the probability of finding a suitable groupetto pace- and size-wise.

Yeah that potentially early sprint through Marina Sprint reverse - and whether it will actually count or not - is confusing isn't it?
