It is supposed to be a 2w/kg roll out but it was carnage on the lead in on this mornings stage -nothing controlled about it apart from half the field moaning that the other half broke the rules. The moaning carried on for the first 30 minutes before everyone settled into the 60 minute climb 😢
Yeah it didn't work too well did it. I was having to do 2.5w/kg to stay near the back of the front pack. People further back were saying they were doing 3w/kg in the middle to back of the group.
And lots of moaning about DQs as well. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
I tried to stay just a little back from the front group. Didn't want to risk a DQ, but didn't want to get gapped that early in the race.
Its a nice idea. A bit like the way a Grand Tour stage starts, but difficult to control. Perhaps we need a little virtual car in front with a guy waving a flag to go at 1km!

Yes. 1st km at 2.0W/kg. Interesting comments from folks that did the earlier race. I say stick to it, I'll probably do 1.1km just to be sure.
The FRR bunch looks quite organised and unforgiving - they have moved some people around between cats before the 1st race and I don't think will think twice about DQ riders.
You don't get to choose the bike. Everyone is assigned the basic Zwift road bike. You do get to choose the wheels though. I think it's a simple choice looking at the climb - the Lightweights.

I sort of assumed they would be able to use a fence like in group rides then turn it off?
