Oooh. Garmin says I'm 'balanced'.

My watch has collected 3weeks of HRV data. I presume it means I'm rested.

I didn't feel like that yesterday evening, where my body battery was down in single digits. I did go to bed very early and slept extremely well.

Data hey

I bought my forerunner 255 mainly for the overnight hrv readings. They’re a reasonable indicator of overall stress (physical and mental). I was taking spot readings first thing in the morning for a couple of months prior to that and found the data fairly unreliable, hence wanting overnight numbers.

Body battery seems a reasonable indication, but I have yet to fully trust it. Sometimes these numbers can be downright discouraging - particularly if you’re a bit excited the night before a big ride.

It’s been a bit of a bug bear of mine that my Apple Watch can’t hold enough charge so that I don’t have to charge it every day (Or maybe every other day at a push). Because I sleep very inconsistently. I hesitate to use the word insomniac, but would like to get a better picture of my sleep patterns.

Too tight to buy something else until it completely dies though! But knowing apple products that’s probably only an update or two away!

This annoys me too - I charge it whilst at work so it tracks my sleep. But saying that I never look at my sleep stats. I don't know why I replied. Sorry!

😄

Well I’m glad you replied anyway!

To be fair I only wear mine at work. It’s really useful isn’t it just for screening phone calls before deciding if it’s worth pulling your phone out of your pocket. When I get home I put it on charge and put something on my wrist that’s made in Switzerland and more in keeping with my image as a pretentious wanka!

Speaking of things made in Switzerland… not cycling related but… Roger Federer… what a legend of sport. Sad to see him retiring without the big farewell Serena got.

Love Federer. Such a classy athlete. They must make them from the same mould over there as Cancellara had a similar aura about him.

I held off buying a watch until I found it could last. My Fenix 6 Solar last easily a month between charges
