Mental isn’t it…

I only noticed earlier that the guy from our team who won the TT averaged over 360 w for 20 minutes.

It must be pretty nice looking at a number like that after a race!

He is 8kg heavier than you though, and in terms of w/kg you've done higher than that for 20 minutes in last season's ZRL 💪

(It did get you DQ'd and upgraded though ^_^)

I did that too, at lunchtime. Came second to a guy who crossed the line behind me!

I came second to a guy who had an average heart rate of 68 BPM  yaaaaa - right!

Looks like my race was much easier than yours too .... you needed a lot more w/kg to get second, where-as my race was a bit easier for me (thankfully else I'd have been dropped).

The ave HR is probably because his HRM dropped out during the race. I've had the same in the past.

Hi Randy. Steady but progressing. I'm 3 weeks into recovery - saw the physio yesterday and now down to one hand crutch for walking. Still very sore but not taking many painkillers now. Not allowed on the bike for at least another 3 weeks - then hopefully start on the turbo. Time is passing reasonably quick which is good.

It was really great fun. 478th in the GC for Cs though. Must have been some REALLY fast races.

I thought that too, but when you look at his last few races, they're all like that from 27 July onwards. Looks a bit fishy to me, but I don't really care.

Good news. Learn from @bobinski ’s mistakes. Rubbing mud into the incision doesn’t speed up healing and may lead to infection.

Actually, that does raise a good question/point .... I was at the front of the pen. Presumably this guy who 'beat' me was behind me in the pen. He beat me by 0.17 of a second.

Doesn't the clock start when you cross the pen clock banner, so he could easily have been 0.5 seconds behind me leaving the pen as speeds are slow at the off, I cross the finish line 0.37 seconds ahead of him in the sprint but in Zwift he 'beats' me.

Does this mean that a good tactic is actually to start at the back of the pen? Then you don't always have to finish ahead of someone to beat them?

Ah, forgot it was a GC thing ... i finished in 26:42 compared to your 26:13 so our race was definitely slower. No one was willing to really push on, we just cruised around. The lead group was 18 strong still at the end, with a few others dropped as the sprint kicked off. Far too big a group to be able to attack on a rolling course like that.
